    Mike Golic had a great take on it this morning on Mike and Mike, and I see his point.. When it is your career on the line, you do what you need to do..And if what he said is what happened, far be it for me to tell him otherwise.

    This is all kinds of stupid. Sure, this type of dishonesty regarding injuries occurs in the league. Often with the clubs' knowledge, so they can keep a player's rights without using a roster spot. But to say it aloud? Not a good idea. When Bettis is up for the HOF in 5 years, will this admission come back to hurt his election? It very well could.

    I understand his logic, though, but it is kinda' weird to hear him openly admit it. I probably would have kept that one to myself, all things considered. But he is selling a book now...
