In your opinion, who was the best DT to come into the league since 2006?

There's gonna be 3-4 4-3 defense confusion here but I'll throw out a few names I like

Haloti Ngata, Kyle Williams (Bills), Jason Jones, Domata Peko, Pat Sims, Paul Soliai

Sadly, not the OK boys, Okoye and Okam.

I'd say Ngata if you're looking for a bad ass, pocket collapsing, run stuffing machine. If you're thinking more along the lines of a gap penetrator, I'd say Jason Jones.

Agree with the consensus, and it's not even close, Ngata.

It's funny cause in the 2006 TTMB mock , I took Ngata over Mario with the Packers pick . I was impressed that Ngata played fullback on the punting team for Oregon . I figured a guy that big and quick is a stud .

Definitely Ngata, but I'd also like to throw in Sedrick Ellis' name in the pot.

He's got the potential to be good. I think he needs a couple healthy seasons to be considered with Ngata though

Oh yeah for sure. I'm not putting him on the same level as Ngata, I'm just saying that he has the potential to be one of the younger beastly defensive tackles.

Ngatta is a bad dude. I remember when people were hesitant cause of his weight, I was all over his big ass. LOVED him.

haloti ngata's the monster in this time frame. dude's a bulldog with both slide and coverage skills. i dont like that some are seperated between 3-4 and 4-3 though. the best can do both. the jags did it with henderson and stroud. minny does it with the williams bro's. i'd give an arm and leg for a centerfielder, but the texans could obliterate as a defense with a true "push the pile" big boy to turn mario and okoye and barwin's round the edge rush into quarterback death match.

In no particular order... Albert Haynesworth, Jamal Williams, Kevin Williams, Richard Seymour, and Haloti Ngata

ok, so those guys may not have "come into the league since"....but I guess that's my short list of badass DT's. Tommie Harris is pretty darn good too.

If we go back to 2005 Jay Ratliff would be a serious contender for the honor.
