After benching and asking for trade, #Bears have decided to release S @ChrisHarrisNFL. First reported by @vxmcclure23.

Texans should look at him started for bears

Harris was a second team All Pro selection last year, which now just looks odd. He has a $1.095 million contract and can be claimed by any team. He started three games this year and was inactive for another.

Low on footspeed, but a good back-up option while Manning is out. I would 100%

You have to work him out and interview him. At least get an idea of where the guy's head is. If you think he can come in with something to prove, sign him as a backup to Nolan and make play Nolan off the field. It seems like the Bears released him because of attitude problems rather than performance. They benched him for performance problems, but that doesn't mean they didn't think they could coach him up before he copped an attitude.

This right here. Matt Stevens was better than Shiloh Keo, I'm pretty sure a second team All-Pro is as well

Got to be worth a shot, sign him and put Shiloh on the Practice Squad, give him a chance to improve for next offseason rather than cut ties completely.

Its a crowded stable of DB's back there though, even if it is a case of quantity not quality it might be that case that Wade see's an opportunity to get one of those CB's in spot duty back at S to get them some snaps.

Since we just signed one of his former teammates (Manning), I imagine we have a pretty good source on what Harris offers. My first though was sign him, I guess we'll see where it goes.

They should at least check him out. The dude has a lot of int's. Keo just looks lost out there, give him more time to get the hang of things, and place him on the PS.

I dunno. He's been burnt crispy a few times this season in the limited times I was able to watch the Bears. Other than that, I really haven't noticed much of him. Except he's a Twitter fanatic.

Maybe he was in the wrong scheme? Who knows? Wait, doesn't Hoke still coach their secondary?

Yeah. HOKE is the Bears DB coach.

We should at least bring him in for a look. He HAS to be better than Keo and he gives us some time to get Brandon Harris ready.

I'm sure someone will claim him off the waivers with a higher waiver spot than the Texans.

When you have the smooth stylings of Shiloh Keo you don't need nothing else. :cutthroat:
