This is the kind of kid I would want on my team.

Very impressive indeed. I think a lot of people have this ability in them, just not the drive that this young man does. Kudos to his family for raising him right.

Can't find the thread but he has been a topic on MB since before the draft. He seems like a good person as well as good athlete and scholar.

And after the game, he can take the light rail over to the medical center! :jogger:

I wouldn't worry about it, Bro. It's stories like this I'd rather read or hear about instead of the asshatery we usually have to endure.

But, I guess doom and gloom is what a mojority of the Nation enjoys the most. Turn on your local news for example.

    Anywho, +rep for the story.

Agree hou-tex on this is what I'd like to hear as opposed to stories like T.O. and who he's no longer BBF with.

Good safety at FSU but looks like an even better human being. This is one of those guys who lifts people up as he pulls himself up.

Too bad he's not going for nuerosurgeon/QB....he'd be cutting up and cutting up the defenses!!!

How 'bout it for a young man who truly embraces the concept of 'student athlete'?

    Awesome find!! Awesome young man!!!

I can only think of one other player that was a Rhodes Scholar and went on to play in the NFL; Pat Hayden.

    Repped.
