Any word on his injury?
He had an injury?
I guess most people figured out this was really a stab at the dawg.
Haven't really seen him in a couple of weeks. I know it was Antonio that smacked Hass's thumb, but other than that I haven't seen him. It also looks like I'm seeing more Jamison, are they taking it easy with Antonio? Is he knicked up or something?
I haven't heard about an injury...
But he seems less stellar now that Mario is out.
Well Ninjas are supposed to be quiet, maybe he decided to take his role playing a step further.
This old report only thing I could find & "illness" not defined. Maybe it is still linguring but allows him to play?
Perhaps this is an indication of how important Mario was to our defense ?
I'm not saying that's true or not true, but just asking if Marios absense from the defense (and Antonios side of the ball), is the main reason we don't see as much activity including sack stats by Antonio ?
I expect for Watt to end up with more sacks then Antonio now because Barwin is playing really well on the other side so it's going to free him up even more now.
Huh? Our OLBs lineup based on the strongside of the offense, they don't have set sides. Also, Barwin shifted to the Will so your logic would suggest that Antonio would be the one getting help from Barwin.
Yeh it's all about Mario. It has nothing to do with the opposing OL we have faced. Jeez!
The Texans dominate on defense, give up 7 points, and you guys are talking about the negative impact of Mario Williams being out?
Based on your logic, can we also conclude that Mario's absence is making Brian Cushing a better player? He sure had a great game with Mario out.
Re-watch the Baltimore game, Antonio Smith played very well
Are ninjas supposed to get off side penalties too?
Dude you are wasting your time they have their manlove Mario blinders on. It's freaking insane.
I wish Mario was healthy, too. Depth is important. I don't mean that as a snide remark. Clearly, Mario does some things that Brooks Reed can not. However, Reed is a more flexible player at a position that values flexibility... he can drop into coverage and has better movement. One more injury at OLB though, and we will see a significant dropoff, unless someone steps up and surprises (cough... Braman).
Not at all. Just as Mario was starting to really roll he got hurt. It happens and of course there's a drop-off at first but you move Barwin, he gets used to it and starts improving again. You put Reed in and he starts improving. Pretty soon The new/shifted players aren't a step behind and can't be exploited anymore. Everybody else benefits as we get back on track.
I guess it's ok that you are on this conquest to prove we don't need Mario, but that doesn't mean you should read into things that weren't said.
By the way, I completely disagree with your POV on it. Antonio was benefitting from Mario....IMO...
And you can keep thumping your keyboard all you want...It won't change that...
He doesn't have MW throwing smoke bombs anymore.
Don't really know what you're stabbing at...the guy is still making plays...he just hasn't gotten his game in and game out sack. Man the hate runs deep with you.
Don't try to explain this to them, it'll totally blow there "we can't do **** without Mario Williams" argument right out the window. Antonio is still making plays.
Where Smith gets back-to-back penalties on the goal line? That's the game you want them to re-watch.
Smith is playing very well this season. Mario was playing very well. Yet, both the Antonio and Mario haters have to keep on hating.
