surprising given his off-field issues. But I do like his playmaking abilities
I'll take it.
if they are pursuing him, somebody at 1 Reliant Park feels like they might be able to keep him under control. if you can do that, i think you get him for Lelie type $$$.
Man, alot of talent and alot of trouble. I can see them maybe taking a flyer with some sort of conduct clause. This isn't a McNair type of guy. Overall though when he is on, he makes alot of plays.
ability wise he's what were looking for just got to keep the attitude in check
I don't know.
Never started 16 games in any season. Only one thousand yard season. Career high 6 TD's back in 02.
Caught 40 balls for 700 yards and 4 TD last year.
Decent #2 stats.
I wouldn't throw a bucket of money at this guy.
He will be suspended the first 2 games of the season though.
you know what at this point in the game they will bring in a lot of second tier guys to evaluate...kubiak isn't going ot ok the signing of a player he can't coach
Cons: Not often do the terms "26-year old" and "journeyman" fit in the same sentence. Mouth rarely matches production.
Pros: Added value in that he likes to work with laundry. Only has to be paid for 14 weeks, since he's suspended for the first two.
Recommendation: Pass. The guy likes to show his rear too much.
I wonder if he's scheduled to visit. I'd take a chance on him. I don't think anyone will be giving him a huge contract. Put a ton of incentives in there and let him earn his money.
the draft is full of excellent young talented WR's I'd like to get one with a 3rd/4th rd. pick ala Owen Daniels last year
No thanks. Lots of talent very little sense to use said talent.
I wondered who would bring that up first.
I really like Stallworth but I wouldn't be upset with Bryant if he were to sign a deal similar to the one Lelie just signed.
I would be surprised to see this guy here more due to the Texans' normally shying away guys with his history.
In terms, of on the field, he would serve as a better number 2 WR than number 1, even though he does not think so. Potentailly, the best 2nd option the Texans have had in its short history.
I would rather save a draft pick and get Antonio, than take a WR late in the draft and expect them to have the same impact.
This guy is trouble. I hope we don't sign him.
The problem with Antonio Bryant is that he is two kinds of crazy. He's crazy good and then he's also crazy. Regardless, it would be a good pickup. Houston has a high character coach and team. The environment could help Bryant flourish. You never know, and it's doubtful he could resurrect some character, but combined with AJ, he could be lethal.
He plays with tenacity, though.
Eric Moulds was like an old gentleman out there: "Oh, pardon me....excuse me, can I get open please?"
I don't like his attitude, either, but I'd take him over Lelie....and like another poster said: It frees us up to not spend a draft pick on a WR so that we can use the pick on something else.
Let him and Walter battle out for the No. 2 spot. Worse case scenario is we de-activate him for attitiude problems and then trade him. There are ways around his attitude.
Better than Lelie, better than a rookie. We cut Moulds, so let's do it.
