I'm trading a 3rd and 5th to get back up into the second round: 1) Teddy Bridgewater, QB I like Teddy here. I've played with other possibilities, and to me TB is the best QB in this draft hands down. 2) Kyle Van Noy, OLB Smart instinctive LB. Would fit in well with this group and would immediately push for a starting job. I think he's already a better player than Mercilus, so unless he's improved a lot over the off season (which is entirely possible), I'd expect him to get his spot taken. 2) Lamarcus Joyner, DB I wanted to trade up into the second to grab a top level prospect. I played with the idea of drafting Tre Mason among some others. But to me this pick made the most sense. Like Van Noy, he has a high motor, is instinctive and makes plays. Versatile player that can probably play all positions in the secondary with some measure of effectiveness. Best fit is probably in the slot of at safety. 4) Daniel McCullers, NT Huuuuuuuge NT. Should immediately push for playing time. Will make it extremely hard to run up the middle and should keep our ILB's clean. Should command double teams inside and be able to tie up multiple blockers on a consistent basis. 5) Charles Leno, OT Very athletic OT with long arms. Good feet as well. Good late round prospect. Is a better pass protector than run blocker at this point. Needs to bulk up and get stronger, but would be a good late round depth player who could eventually become a starter. 5) Andrew Jackson, ILB Active and aggressive ILB. May actually go higher than 5th round, but is currently ranked lower by some ranking boards. Well built player with good athleticism. Plays with energy, aggression and passion. 6) Taylor Hart, DE Big strong DE. Played in the PAC 10. Would need to pack on a little weight, but at 6'6" 281 he'd provide good depth at the 5 tech position. 6) Colt Lyerla, TE Worth. The. Risk. 7) Eathyn Manumaleuna, DL Older player at 25, but he's a strong high energy player. Would provide good depth on the DL. Moves down the line really well to chase down ball carriers. Another solid depth guy for Romeo's versatile defense. ____________________________________________ No wr or RB. I figure that we can grab a a FA RB, get some UDFA's. Arian should give us at least a few games. Dennis Johnson was solid at the end of last year. Deji Kareem is ok. I think we can be fine there without spending a pick at RB. At WR with Keyshawn Martin, Devier Posey and potentially Alec Lemon I think we'll be ok behind Dre and Deandre. Plus I think TE's will play a major role again in our offense. Also, Colt Lyerla in my mock does give you another receiving option. I know a lot of people won't like the trade up into the second for Joyner, but I like the guy's game.
