I don't how bad but it didn't look good. Hurt his knee... Hope he's ok..
If he was a Texan, we wouldn't see him again until 2011.
meh, didn't look bad.
he's got a torn ligament in his knee.
Got a link? I'd like to be able to get the whole story.
he's out for a week minimum. it's not too bad.
It is being reported on espn news, sorry can't link a tv report.
It doesn't surprise me. If I remember correctly, a knee injury plagued a fairly large portion of his collegiate career. This was just the risk the Vikings took in drafting him.
you are mistaken. he's never had a knee ligament injury. he hurt his ankle and broke his collarbone.
The only injuries Peterson ever had in college were a high ankle sprain and a broken collarbone.
Here's the link
At least he came out and said the hit was clean before ESPN could start a segment on what a dirty player Al Harris is.
And he injured his shoulder which kept him out a couple of games his freshman year. Don't forget that one.
I'm gonna call BS on that since he played in all 13 games & led the nation in carries.
From what i saw of his injury, it just looks like a hyperextension, not that serious.
My mistake, I was probably thinking of the ankle.
Either way, the main slap against him was injury succeptability. It's not shocking that he hurt something. All of that said, I am hoping to see him make a speedy recovery. He's fun to watch.
He just runs so hard, I think eventually he will take a tactic from LT's book and learn to just go down sometimes.
However, his last two injuries don't seem to be because of running too hard, he just looks unlucky.
That's true. Running like a man possessed, while admirable, can lead to serious injuries. If he learns a few self-preservation techniques, he'll be one of the best backs in the league for many years to come. It's just a shame that he plays for the Vikings.
Torn knee ligament...
