Aaron Glenn just got toasted twice on touchdown passes to Santana Moss. Each pass was over 40 yards.
Did he make an Ole' tackle too?
Negatory. It almost seems as if he's relying on SS Roy Williams help too much.
I saw that too. I guess maybe he's going downhill faster than we thought?
Because he was to slow to cover Moss by himself and that was with a 10 yard lead.
I missed it...
Glenn and Williams burned twice...on the same play.
and aggie and a Sooner got owned...LMFAO!!!
That is what was called a 3 deep coverage on both plays. Both routes were in the middle of the field, where Roy was supposed to be to help glenn out. On both plays glenn was burned, but Roy was supposed to have coverage over the top.
Both plays 80% Roy Williams fault for being too slow and getting out of his backpedal way too slow.
Those were very crazy plays. I think Vegas just paid these guys to throw the game. jk...or am i?
lol. It's all good.
Hey, it's about time this rivalry spicens up.
I'll give the Redskins credit. They didn't give up and got the plays they needed when they needed them.
Dallas defense did the very same thing they did all last year. Give up the big play at the very worse time possible. It killed them all year. It cost them a game tonight.
Best rivalry in the NFL.
The only consolation, as ThaShark316 has already pointed out, is that we can blame it on an Aggie and Sooner.
Nail on the head, it was Williams. They dissected both of those plays yesterday after the game on the Cowboys' call in program on the radio. I was listening to it on the way back from that game (hey, I had to see the Triplets put in to the Ring, but that's a different story for a different day).
On both plays, Moss ran inside and faked a move to the outside. Glenn had to maintain outside coverage, so both times he was directed to the outside by those moves. At that point, it became Williams' responsibility to contain Moss, but the Redskins did their homework by putting pure speed on Williams. It worked for them, twice.
I'll fault Williams only for that second TD pass; logic clearly dictated that if you're going to get burned again (and it was pretty clear it was a case of deja vu all over again), he should have taken Moss down by the ankles before the ball got there and settled for the pass interference call instead of giving him a clear shot to the end zone.
I was thinking the same thing.
One thing though Huge and I'll take this...at least the Cowboys are competitive again. Last year they just weren't in so many games. The defense wasn't getting a pass rush; the corners didn't make plays.
This year they're rushing and getting sacks...they're making turnovers and it looks to me as though Henry (?) is a pretty good corner.
Last night you have to give the Skins props. They made the plays when they had to. They have a very good defense. They will get their QB killed though if they don't play much better than they did last night.
And for those talking about Roy Williams he's taken blame for both TD passes and said not to blame Aaron.
The last one Aaron was playing at least 10 yards off Moss' side but flew back up at the end. Williams should have been over there sooner.
Did anyone see that monster hit Sean Taylor put on one of the Dallas WR's?
I felt the sting on that one. Also, did that look like an incomplete pass, or a fumble?
My first response was that it was a fumble. The WR turned, with control of the ball, and got lit up.
