I don't have my predictions done yet but so far I have the Giants finishing last in their division. Washington has a good D, and McNabb is a big upgrade over what they've had at QB in quite a while. They will be improved. I don't think Philly misses a beat with Kolb and them and Dallas should both contend for the division.

I have the Vikings falling off quite a bit and the Packers taking the north fairly easily.

In the AFC South, I've pretty much got the same order. I don't have J-ville winning anywhere near 7 games. I think they're going to be a bad, bad football team this year.

Texans have a BRUTAL schedule. Not just because of the teams they're playing and those team's records from last year. I CAN NOT TELL YOU IMPORTANT IT IS FOR THE TEXANS TO GET OFF TO A GOOD START!! Because in the 1st half of the season they play 5 home games. But they also play Indy twice. That means they finish the season with 5 of 8 on the road. Their only home games in the 2nd half of the season are 2 division rivals (division games are always a ***** for the Texans) and the Ravens, who are picked by many to win the AFC. 2nd half road games include Jets, Eagles, 2 division game (Jags & Inbreds), and Denver at Mile High in December. So that's another reason I'm going with Indy still to get the top spot in the south.

the NFC east really is a crapshoot though. I think most would be in agreement that the Cowgirls are the clear favorites, and then outside of that i believe ANYTHING could happen. I chose the Redskins in last place mainly because i think Shanny's system can not be mastered in a year, especially with the load of overaged and over the hill running backs that they have. McNabb will be a huge improvement if he can stay healthy, but even so, i think this team starts out relatively rough and finishes out strong as they develop chemistry with each other.

I think this will be somewhat close of a rebuilding year for the Eagles, as they move into their new generation with a new QB. They have a ton of young talent, but i don't see them as serious playoff contenders until proven otherwise. Kolb has a ton of ability and i like his future, just not so much this season.

The Giants are just two full seasons out from being Super Bowl champions. Sure, there defense has tons and tons of question marks, but i think Eli will easily be able to handle the load on the offensive side and the defense will get better during the final stretch in order to edge them in.

I went through and picked each game each week. And, boy, am I tired. Here's what I came up with (there's no way it happens like this):

    AFC East
    13-3 Patriots
    12-4 Jets
    9-7 Dolphins
    2-14 Bills

    AFC North
    13-3 Ravens
    10-6 Steelers
    8-8 Bengals
    3-13 Browns

    AFC South
    12-4 Colts
    11-5 Texans
    8-8 Titans
    7-9 Jags

    AFC West
    13-3 Chargers
    6-10 Raiders
    5-11 Broncos
    5-11 Chiefs

    NFC East
    10-6 Cowboys
    10-6 Eagles
    7-9 Giants
    4-12 Redskins

    NFC North
    12-4 Vikings
    11-5 Packers
    2-14 Bears
    3-13 Lions

NFC South (I can't believe this at all)
    12-4 Falcons
    11-5 Saints
    11-5 Panthers
    3-13 Buccaneers

    NFC West
    9-7 Niners
    7-9 Cardinals
    4-12 Seahawks
    3-13 Rams

    AFC Playoffs
    Ravens over Steelers
    Colts over Texans

    Colts over Patriots
    Ravens over Chargers

Ravens over Colts EDIT: Should have been Colts over Ravens. I was really waffling on this one.

    NFC Playoffs
    Packers over Niners
    Saints over Cowboys

    Saints over Vikings
    Falcons over Packers

    Saints over Falcons

    Super Bowl
    Colts over Saints

I don't even believe my own prediction.

The Panthers are going to have a great running game and their defense is looking really, really good. That makes a team that's hard to beat even though they're going to have iffy QB play.

Add that to the fact that they play a bunch of weak teams, and you get 11-5.

    1 - @Giants - Win
    2 - Buccs - Win
    3 - Bengals - Win
    4 - @Saints - Loss
    5 - Bears - Win
    6 - Niners - Win
    7 - @Rams - Win
    8 - Saints - Loss
    9 - @Buccs - Win
    10 - Ravens - Loss
    11 - @Browns - Win
    12 - @Seahawks - Win
    13 - Falcons - Win
    14 - @Steelers - Loss
    15 - @Falcons - Loss

There are 3 games that could be argued but the rest of their schedule is a bunch of cream puffs: Buccs 2x, Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams, Bears, Browns. I had them split with the Falcons.

Of the 3 arguable games, I think the Giants, Niners, and Bengals just aren't very good and they face 2 of those teams at home.

So I can easily see them going 11-5 or 10-6.

A lot of the forecast that I have read point to the fact that the Panthers are really going to struggle with getting a pass rush. Also not real solid at QB. I see them anywhere from 6-10 to 9-7.

What I've seen of them in preseason, I don't see the problem with the pass rush. Granted, it's the preseason, but they've been getting pressure. I think they've gotten like 8-9 sacks so far.

And with their running game, I think Matt Moore is going to be sufficient.

This is classic John Fox football. The problem with Delhomme the past couple of seasons is that he was trying to do too much and making turnovers that were killing this team.

But, let me say that prior to going through their schedule, I expected this team to be at best 8-8. But I think they're going to do better than that now.

You might be right. Never know how the NFC South is going to turn out. It may be a very tough division this year.

And they get to play the weak NFC West and the average AFC North. I see them going 4-0 against the West and 2-2 against the North. That's 6-2 right there. I had them 3-3 in their division: splitting with the Falcons, sweeping the Buccs, and getting swept by the Saints. And then they've got the Bears (who I think are going to suck) and the Giants (who I think aren't going to be very good.) As weird as it looks, it's not implausible.

I mean, I didn't have them beating any really good teams like the Ravens or Saints and they just don't play that many other good teams. It will all come down to how they play against the Bengals, Niners, and Giants.

I think they pull one out against New Orleans, mostly because Carolina almost always has their number.
