Why doesn't the #2 QB get some snaps during the week with the #1 Offense? Are the teams limited by the league as to how many hours per day they are allowed to practice? Would it really hurt anything for the offense to get an extra hour of practice about 3 days a week with the #2 QB?

No, the goal is to get the starter ready for the game. How often do backups play anyway? Is it worth taking reps from the guy, who, most likely, will play the entire game? Most teams say no.

Some teams do give their #2 guy reps during practice. Those teams are the Browns, Raiders, etc...

I'm not suggesting taking any reps away from the starting QB, I'm suggesting making practice a little longer and adding some reps for the #2 QB.

Is our Offense so good that some extra reps wouldn't help?

Considering the amount of time missed by Schaub this might be a good idea.
