In my opinion, the Texans need playmakers period! We know the offensive line needs improvement, but the coaching of that position doesn't lead me to believe they can coach up that spot. They might be better off signing Fleming or Brown. The price went up since Bobby Massie is now the 5th highest paid player at his position. If there is a top flight corner, rb, or even pass rusher there in the 1st, I think they should draft him

Would like to see enough improvement from two different positional groups that make the Texans elite.

If there's a good o-line prospect on board, I feel like that's the painfully obvious choice. With that said I don't want them reaching for an o-lineman if there's a solid cornerback prospect available.

I have a feeling that if an irresistible CB is on the board, they will take him and then try to package both their seconds in a trade to move up for their OL.
Of course, it all depends on who they get in FA.
Free agency begins 4:00PM March 13.

Is it not painfully obvious that injuries to Fuller and Coutee have derailed Texans? I’d say cross them off, until they prove otherwise, if you have impact starting WR sitting there @ #23 you take him, cause clearly Fuller or Coutee can’t stay on the field. If they can, moving forward, then your elite, your KC with Watson @ QB.

Coutee was just hamstring issues and being rushed back too quickly. Wouldn't be too panicked over him, but I'll give ya Fuller. Just don't think WR is the biggest need to be addressed in the 1st round as opposed to OL or CB.

Not really much of a fan of the WR class this year, but also not opposed to grabbing one by say the 3rd round. (Isabella, perhaps?) I personally feel that there's not much of a big difference in the WR talent pool of the guys that are considered the top prospects, to the guys that are considered mid-rounders.

You can do better, your a good judge of talent. Deebo is the real deal, watch his tape again. If you want to wait until 2nd then Doss is a solid sleeper, reminds me of Keenan Allen.

I'm hoping McLaurin is there in the 3rd and Gaine runs the pick to the podium.

I think the BPA is an acceptable approach, provided the team needs are identified and strictly adhered to when discussing BPA.

I could go with, LT, RT, CB, RB in RD1. BPA from the positions listed.

In RD2, the team could add WR, OLB, DE to the list of positions.

    7 positions including a QB in RD3 - RD7.

Doesn't matter how good your WRs are if your QB is taking 60+ sacks a season.

Actually that's very chicken & egg. If the WRs don't get open the QB will take sacks. The beauty to a Coutee type is he can get open enough really fast or take it deep.

Having said that, I think it is silly to write off Coutee. He had a single injury which was mismanaged but should naturally fully heal in the offseason.

Seems to be a recurring theme with the Texans. smh

Wonder if there is more to the story of our s/c coach leaving?

Carter is a suitable backup to Coutee and an upgrade at PR. Gaine did a really good job finding Carter off of the scrap heap rhat late in the season.

Seems kind of obvious. Coutee was down, Carter got waived & we claimed him. Yes he is a good backup to Coutee.
