    Paying the Price

When the league moves on studying the long-term effects of concussions, we'll find out if Elliot Pellman was just the NFL's fall guy. People are going to expect regulation from the league on this issue, not personal responsibility from the players to prepare for the day when they are...

    Antwan Peek

Great way to put it. I really liked Antwan and am sorry to see him go. Good luck with the Browns Antwan. He will probably be a favorite of the "Dog Pound".

Misguided Optimism rears its ugly head again

He will be a primier running back in the league (again, only IMO). He will never make it to the second round.

Misguided Optimism rears its ugly head again

I appreciate your point of view, but MB will be gone by round 2. JMO again.

Misguided Optimism rears its ugly head again

We don't need to trade up to get a running back. Michael Bush will be available at #8. People on this board need to stop sweating AP.....granted he is good but MB is every bit the running back AP is. JMO

    Carr for Plummer straight up?

No, I would draft Jordan Palmer, and let him develop for 2 years and use Sage as our starter. It is going to take a couple of years to "fill in the blanks" on this team anyway so why not let Kubiak develope a QB for those 2 years while we build a team.......notice I didn't say "re" build.

Check out Ken Hamlin's scouting report. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2784159 Damaged goods?

Does anyone else get the sense this team is doomed?

The Texans surely aren't "tipping their hand" to any one. There is an article of top free agents on ESPN now and the only place the Texans name show up as a possiblity is next to Ken Hamlin. I do not think we are doomed. But we are still several years out from contending for any post season play.

    Paying the Price

I doubt that concussions can be stopped in this sport. By nature it is a collision sport. What I wonder is, at what point will the league "tell" a player, "You can no longer participate in this league due to the injury you have, it is no longer safe for you to risk further injury".

    Carr

Only time will tell what is going to happen with DC. Feelings are mixed about him around the league as far as I have seen. He got paid in Houston, the question is "Do the Texans want to keep paying him?" Greeny is an *****.......just ask his wife.

    O-Line OR D-Line?

Gotta' love those bargins. As a matter of fact, we kind of played like a bargin team last year, didn't we?

    O-Line OR D-Line?

Exactly. Which kind of baffled me when the Texans wouldn't pay Robaire Smith 2 seasons ago. I thought he was solid in the middle and I believe it was a mistake to let him go, and as we all saw he ended up in East Austin.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2782445 So, no one has acknowledged the implications of the serious head injury and how it will ultimately affect the NFL. It WILL affect the NFL. This is the age of responsible action, and responsible action is what will be expected of the NFL...

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2782445 Head Injury. It's a topic everyone had better get used to hearing about in the NFL.

The reason Carr may still be around...

If the Texans ARE going to take a running back in the 1st, and AP is gone, why not Michael Bush? If he goes in the first it won't be until late first. The Texans could take him. I think he is every bit the running back that AP is.
