For Cooks, a Post June 1 trade would cut the 2023 dead money in half...about 8-mil. Still not good, but will create 18mil in cap savings to offset. I see a lot of passive/aggressive Brandin Cooks tweets in our near future. Totally agree about Tunsil, if indeed he is not a Ryans/Slowik guy.

The price looks like its a 6th and 7th round pick swap. Not a big deal to get a decent guard. I could feel very differently depending on what the new contract turns out to be (*IF* he is extended). The back half of this draft is supposedly thin, so swapping late picks may not mean much.

He knows the system from his time with McVay, who in turn learned directly from Shanahan, and can (hopefully) be productive as a #2 while mentoring our young WRs. Its not a flashy signing, but it does make some sense, especially since Cooks has had one foot out the door since Easterby's departure.

Watched both complete throwing workouts, and Richardson was fairly inconsistent except on deep balls. Stroud was very consistent, but he was obviously hitting the limits of his throwing range deep. I almost feel like Richardson could throw it as far as his imagination would allow though...
