    OB's Play Calling

Couldn't have said it better. Totally, and sadly. agree.

    OB's Play Calling

I was and am furious with that boneheaded call as well. You're gaining yards in big chunks on the ground and you put the game in the hands of one of the worst QBs in the league? Moronic.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss

Kubiak after his first game: 0-1 O'Brien after his first game: 1-0 Kubiak after his second game: 0-2 O'Brien after his second game: ??? I like Kubiak on a personal level. I like O'Brien on a personal level and I respect the hell out of him already as a HC.

All Encompassing Andre Johnson Thread (Just got some disturbing news about A Johnson)

Couple that fact with the fact that he's never really had a legitimate #2 wide receiver to take pressure off of him and it's his numbers are downright astonishing.

    Selection 4.135: Tom Savage QB

I don't dislike David Carr, but I don't respect him either. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that your success is commensurate to the work you put in. A twelve year old kid with his first job at the ice cream parlor could tell you that. I recall John McClain stating...

    Selection 4.135: Tom Savage QB

Do you know this for sure? I would think Dom Capers, Chris Palmer, and Charley Casserly would have rubbed off on him by osmosis if nothing else. Say what you will about that brain trust but they all have Super Bowls in their resume and each of them knows and knew the kind of work it takes...

    The "Power" of O'Brien

Serious question: how many head coaches DON'T have final say on their roster? I'm figuring most GM's have final say on who is drafted and who is signed via free agency. But I would think it's pretty common for a head coach to have final say on his roster. Am I wrong?

    Prediction Special

Very pleased to see that among the posters who have voted so far, the two who have my most respect --- you and Hervoyel -- are predicting a complete turnaround. I tend to agree. I think an 8-8 result is very likely and thinking 9 or 10 wins is possible isn't crazy.

    John McClain eats newspaper

I can't help but love the guy. But I don't read him anymore or keep up with his tweets. I just listen to him on the radio and love his homespun story telling. When I met him in the stadium parking lot while tailgating nearly twelve years ago he couldn't have been more accessible or amiable...

Arian Foster (season ending back surgery)

This is the same guy who was visibly upset about being taken out of the game earlier this year. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1768112-houston-texans-rb-arian-foster-was-not-happy-about-being-subbed-out I'd rather have him take himself out of a game than pretend he's healthy and only...

    60 possessions = 7 touchdowns

I heard a great take from a caller on the radio yesterday. Really put Schaub's shortcomings into perspective. Does he have a big arm? No. Is he mobile, can he extend plays? No. Is he good in the red zone? No. Is he a great leader? No. Is he a playmaker...

    60 possessions = 7 touchdowns

EXACTLY. The Texans were handed the keys to the division crown in the transitional period between Manning and Luck.

Have you ever been LESS excited heading into a Playoff run??

Nope. In my opinion, the Texans have won their final game of the 2012 season already. This team is a mess and it starts at the top.
