Not sure what your one win out of seven tries has anything to do with my overall point.
Doesn't change the fact of the larger picture of 2/3 of your cap space is about to be placed on the past glory of Reed. Sounds an awful lot like a move for the Redskins of the 90's.
Look, the Texans are...
All I'm saying is if you want an expensive FS who doesn't wrap up, then I think you're a year too late in getting your money's worth. $6 Million is the rumored asking price. Isn't that 2/3 of your cap space?
That tendency card works both ways, by the way. Flacco's been practicing against Reed...
One big thing y'all need to be careful with with Reed is his ever looming nerve impingement in his neck.
For two seasons, he's been one wrong hit away from retirement. Don't expect much tackling from him at this point in his career.
Hate seeing him go still.
Yeah, stand corrected then. Just noticed it's about $12 Million. Good stuff for y'all.
Still, I'd focus on retention rather than what the OP suggested.
The last thing you guys need is a champion (i.e. pricey) vet.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the cap is going to be a concern and some players are on the chopping block. I know I'd love to see Conor Barwin in purple.
Focus on the draft and I see you guys like NE, Ravens, Pitt, etc who...
I'm not going to say if y'all would have won or not (any given Sunday and all), but I do know that this Ravens fan did not want to see you guys during the playoffs.
Our better match up was NE without a doubt.
Long time lurker since last season and Ravens fan in Houston ....
Personally, I did not want to see the Texans in the playoffs. Too many mismatches between our offense and your defense. I much preferred to face NE. Flacco in particular matches up very well with that defense.
The Texans...
Ravens fan here ... obviously ...
I most certainly think the Texans have a Super Bowl caliber team. I don't think that's even debatable, even with the loss last night.
As long as you guys stay healthy, I have a feeling y'all will be in the AFCCG with no problems.
Something that is getting lost in the Yates debate is our Defensive Coordinator.
Chuck Pagano knows TJ Yates better than any coach the Texans have faced this season, having been the Tar Heels DC in 2007. It was only one year, granted, but he's going to know a little more of what makes Yates...
