I don’t see why some folks are so apologetic for a GM that by even his own accounting has not been successful. Two horrific coaching hires and neither of those coaches were given enough talent to succeed on the field - so they both are let go but the GM stays? Makes no sense.
That being said...
I'm not sure we can expect to see an elected DA run this down to misdemeanors if they no bill him. Technically, it may not be uncommon but it could be politically problematic In a case like this. In my view, they either don’t think (or care) they have a case and expect the GJ to make the public...
They aren’t technically bound by a Grand Jury/GJ - even if the GJ “no-billed” it doesn’t mean the DA couldn’t take the case again to a newly empaneled GJ for a similar felony review. However, the PR with that would be problematic. The DA could also choose to move on misdemeanor charges outside...
We can (and should) all be super critical and angry at Watson for his behavior - and if he is proven to be criminally responsible they should throw the book at him…but comparing him in any way to Davis Mills on the field is just lazy or more likely people taking out their understandable...
i thought that a Texas GJ can return misdemeanor charges based on the evidence presented -even though they aren’t originally tasked with a non-felony review.
no, what I said was if he settled all of his civil cases and only had remaining criminal complaints from those who only went criminal route that he would be in a much safer space,
I get that you guys want to look past anything that takes away from this sham of a hire but if a .500 NFL coach and a guy who went 17-39 in college is your answer to this disaster of a franchise some of you guys will buy anything. But hey, it is your blind fandom that empowers these guys in the...
no, I get that but for the most part if he settled civil cases prior to being deposed he would root out all but maybe 2-3 of the criminal complaints making his situation much more manageable. if he gets deposed not only does that make it more likely the civil suits drag on…it seems to be it also...
How'd Urban Meyer do at the college level?
ummm, so a 65 yo guy who is a.500 NFL coach and an atrocious college coach is why you dump your previous head coach after one season. Got it.
