Kubiak seems to pick his schools he gets players from and stick with them. I wouldn't be surprised to see us pick up more Rice players now that his son is on the team.
Rice is the new Colorado State, one of Kubiak's real kids is on the team.
We have drafted Casey and the LB from last years draft. Now we have picked up Chase Clement...
We have gone from drafting the powerhouse Colorado State Rams to the new CUSA powerhouse Rice Owls.
Kubiak has seen Leinart longer than Carr and Leinart is still on the team. That is a plus, but he has no real game time.
I'll go ahead and say it, we won't lose too much on offense. We are running the ball well and as long as MattL proves he can throw a forward pass with accuracy we will...
With our depth at TE, I believe we let him walk. We have Dressen, Casey, Graham, and Hill. With the exception of Hill (we haven't seen enough of him) I believe any of our backups could walk in next year and start.
I'd rather spend that money elsewhere.
Some of you act if the Texan's don't pick your man crush then they are stupid and having a horrible draft.
Texan's have met with these guys, and worked them out personally. Not just read an internet blogger's (who have never met these players) opinion and form your own based on that.
They just picked up the guy in the 4th, not the 2nd or 1st. He's a Linebacker from Miami, that's not a bad thing. Who knows he might push Diles.
I am still itching for Robert Johnson or a couple C/G's though.
I would say he ranks with the top guys on the FCS level, and with a better or just as good of an arm than any of the top guys on the FBS level this year. The knock is his age of course. If he was 22 or 23 he'd be drafted for sure.
I believe he ran a 4.8, so at 6,6 225 pound 27 year old...
A Texan scout went up to San Marcos to look at Bradley George. He's a tall QB (6,6) with a big arm and quicker than he looks. He's 27... he played minor league baseball. You would have to bet that he would learn the system quick and be a backup. His arm is better than Schaub's but he is not...
A Texan's Scout was at Texas State's pro day watching TE Kyle Anderson (formally of LSU) and QB Bradley George.

George is a 27 year old 6'6" QB who...
