Sounds like all the proposals and ideas have been unfunded.
Unless a private proposal that includes private funding is made by June 10, then the county commissioners will likely put to the public a 'shell' / meeting space idea, and IIRC it had a $100,000,000.00 price tag.
If that is voted...
There will be a Bullpen Suite (e-mail went out today), snacks and a cash bar.
I may actually skip, first year since I've been in Houston.
The Texans success has made draft day way too crowded for my taste.
So was he there when Ohio State beat Dre in 2002?
I had been weary of this signing, but now that the numbers are out holy crap. This deal is so good for so many reasons! Love it.
This is why I didn't want to sign him. Sounded like that's what he wanted and it would be stupid to give it to him.
I was ok with a cheap price, but even 5 mil makes me nervous.
Right, I understand guaranteed v. not, but I've heard it boiled down to the Eagles and Lions didn't really stick their necks out, that the guaranteed amounts are reasonable and that the cap hit, I THINK I heard $2.5 mil for GQ the first year? How can that possibly be right? If it is right...
As a fan, I have gotten used to dead cap issues. When they signed those guys to those deals I was happy. Now that cap issues based on current players, had I known then what I've learned about the cap I would not have been as excited.
Sorry to be vague heading out the door but been wanting to ask this for days.
Seems for Barwin and GQ the local radio and print media have analyzed the new contracts with "well, it seems big, but when you boil it down it's a tiny cap hit they'll never see all that money."
If that's truly...
Oh, I don't want Ed Reed here unless he signs a contract that all the rumors out there point to he wouldn't even wipe his bum with.
I think being 10-12 under with all the holes we have to fill that if we took a 4-6 mil (guessing) cap hit for Reed that would be a mistake short terms and a huge...
Sure! Manning, Brady, Brees..... And some how Flacco....
I think the modern model, with a few exceptions is the QB's hold the franchise hostage. So you better have a damned good one.
Ugggh, the wife mentioned Ahman Green this morning. Don't make me cringe.
I'm really starting to feel (glass half empty guy here):
(a) he's using us to get a homerun contract elsewhere
(b) we're going to sign him to a 4-5 year deal for over $5m/year
People are getting giddy over the...
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks we would over pay him.
6. His beard
7. Looking like a homeless man because or 5 and 6.
Seriously, if he comes in for a lower figure one year or two year deal, sure. We're already cap strapped and I don't want to through a Brink's truck at him. If...
My $.02:
I also have been concerned. Local sports talk is greatly influencing me, so feel free to talk me off the ledge.
Without losing our FA's, we have managable needs to fill:
-WR
-ILB
-pass rusher
-right O line starter or depth
-nose tackle starter or depth
It is starting to...
You need to have someone on here who gets passes offer them to you. There are no public tickets.
You know, my wife coaches people trying out for pro cheerleading teams....
