Well the Osweiller experiment was a huge failure - however I am very glad that they have identified the problem and made the move ASAP rather than letting a good roster waste another year.
I don't think there is a practical way to make that work in football though, due to the hashmarks down the centre of the field. As the respective lines of scrimmages need to locate themselves in play, the closest to the sideline a kicker could be kicking from is probably 10-15 yards into the...
Can't believe this is still rumbling on, apparently without definitive confirmation.
For me, this isn't a grass vs artificial turf issue - it's a shitty grass issue. Figure out a way to create a decent grass setup in there - then everyone is happy. The majority of athletes prefer a grass...
Yup - for all of the "they're ruining football" crowd, there is an equally valid argument, that they're trying to take football back to what is was earlier in the 1900s.
I'm not against most initiatives to try and improve tackling and deter "hitting" - however removing helmets altogether would...
According BBC Sport, the chairman of the National Football League's health and safety advisory commission has been musing about the potential for the NFL to ban helmets in the future.
Would be an interesting way of dealing with concussions. Would certainly put a stop to some of the head-shots...
I imagine the Texans players will just be staying at their homes, rather than trying to book out a hotel. They'll be much more relaxed for the big game. :fans:
Saw the thread title, and thought "great move Dolphins - lock him down long term".
Then I saw the numbers. He has been improving well since coming into the league, but I'm not sure that he merits that money yet...
Woah - stylish new look for the place.
Kinda disappointed though - I had just about figured how the rep system worked! :bat:
Great job Team Forum-Upgrade - thanks for all you do!
We all know how this goes.
Patriots appeal - suspension dropped to 3 games. Garoppolo starts games 1 through 3, throws 12 TDs and no INTs. At the end of the season the Patriots trade Garoppolo for 2016 and 2017 first round picks.
:hankpalm:
I'm sure those who have a layman's understanding about benefits for the individual entities gained from the non-profits's retained earnings are happier as well.
Would be surprised if he had blown any of his money. He has his head screwed on pretty good.
If I'm a betting man, I think he reappears on the coaching roster at UW sometime in the near future after going back to "retire" in the Pacific Northwest.
Daym. Russel Wilson's interview here is phenomenal.
It is like that ending didn't just happen. Takes the blame for the play - says Coach Carroll apologised to them, but it isn't Coach's fault. Classy fellow.
I would have been at least choked and down - he seemed pretty chipper and...
Don't think so - it has Carroll all over it.
He came out afterwards and said that they felt comfortable showing pass with 3rd and 4th down for Lynch if necessary. Pats kept their goal-line set against 3 WRs, so they thought they had a good opportunity to get it in passing.
I get that but the call is just inexcusable. Lynch gets yards after contact virtually every run he makes.
I mean that was just a douchey Madden move that you make just to rub your buddy's face in it.
Because Pete Carroll from time to time has to prove he is the smartest kid in the room.
I thought he had gotten it out of his system after the Falcons playoff loss 2 years ago, but it is still there.
