I will be there with the wife, but I don't have a Liberty white jersey, guess my Battle Red Demeco will have to do, unless I find a sweet deal between now and then.

a white t-shirt would make do IMO.

closer we could get to 100% of the stands being in white, would certainly make a statement to the players and coaches.
 
I'm trying to find a good deal on a Liberty White jersey in which the name on the back isn't Carr. :gun: I need to find one quick.
 
My understanding is you wear white whenever you damn well please

I will be proudly wearing my white 02 jersey(with Texans in place of the player name) at Choppers here in Denver.
Just out of curiosity, is anyone still sporting those 02 jerseys or am I the last one left?!

Hm, I think I've seen a couple walking around Reliant. Let's just say your among the last left, lol. I personally prefer the blue 32 jerseys. :)

I have white 59, red 34, and blue 32.

EDIT:

Oh, and whoever keeps up with the designs and updates on HoustonTexans.com does a great job. They put up the awesome looking white layout pretty promptly today.

I still have a brand new jersey with the #'s 02 and 32. I made sure I bought an extra one way back.
 
Rick Smith said at breakfast this morning that he promises that they will do everything they need to win on Sunday and asked that the fans show up (in the seats) by introductions and be LOUD! He said that the opposing QB is a rookie and crowd noise will help the Texans defense tremendously. He added the the players feed off the crowd and appreciate the support when they are on the field.


We have a job to do.

Joke all you want about the hangers....but my TV reception is almost as good as any HD set there is..........and I give all the credit to the WIRE HANGERS ! So yes, I do have them.....
 
We broke down and bought white shirts, I went all over trying to find a white Mario replica jersey but couldn't find one. I was trying to avoid paying 80 bucks online. Even checked out some local Houston Wal-marts when I was camped out at the VA hospital last week.

Now if only Ike can stay away....:pirate:

I was going to comment on that,it looks pretty sweet.

I only have one Texans jersey and its blue. I'll be wearing a white t-shirt under my white Roy O jersey,if that counts.

Not telling people what to do, but white outs look cool on TV, so a plain T may be better than a red jersey. My $.02
 
I don't own a white jersey, BUT, I'll be sporting a white tee. Depending on what Ike decides to do will determine when I arrive to tailgate. Keepin my fingers crossed things will be cooled down, just a little anyway.

But since the Texans are asking us and promoting this as LIBERTY WHITE KICKOFF, show your support of the Team and wear WHITE on Sunday.

No, you don't need to go buy a new $60 WHITE jersey, just wear a WHITE shirt of anykind into Reliant(as long as it's not a ravens shirt), then you can change into your red or blue jersey after we kick the crud out of the ravens.

It's really pretty simple.

Personally, I like tee's better anyway. Jerseys are tooooooo HOT!!

I'm not worried about the rain, LET IT POUR, BUT, unfortunately, I have to worry about the heat. I'm HOPING Ike brings in some clouds and cools things off.

I'll wear what I want to wear. Always have, always will. I don't need a silly promotion to tell me when I can wear my $250 personalized jersey.

We go through this every time there's a Liberty White, Battle Red, or Deep Steel Blue day, and every time there are plenty of people who aren't wearing the promotion color and every time, it looks just fine in the stadium and on TV.

If you want to participate fine, if you don't, that's fine too. As long as the following happens, who cares what you wear?

I know the economics of it all. Jerseys sold = more money for the Texans. I understand some people don't like to be told what to wear. I understand that some people will wear a Cowgirls jersey but I never understand why someone wears a jersey of a team that is not playing in the game. Nobody say you must wear a jersey. A t shirt would do, in fact the Texans may be giving them away as they have in the past.

Texas A and M does it and it looks great.

Call me a fool but I would love for the Texans fans to do something as a group that would be as cool as that, gaining national exposure and making people look at Houston fans in a better light.

Do as you guys want and ignore the attempt to stand out. It is your call.

I am wearing Liberty White and I will keep asking people to join in. One day either we will be sucessful or the Texans will stop the promotion along with other things they do for the fans.

Wear White, Be Early, Be Loud!

I have an old DC Battle Red jersey that I fixed permanently last year. All it took was some of my wife's nail polish remover and a lot of elbow grease. After about a half hour, the letters came off just fine. It's a #8 nameless jersey now.
