I have changed some things up a bit. I know most of you don't visit the home page much for lack of content. This site has always been about the board and not articles since we haven't ever had any consistent writers.

With all of that in mind I have changed up the front page and integrated the board into it so we never have that "out of date" look. Now some of your post will be the front page articles. We will feature from time to time different post on the front page. Also the most recent posts from the our Houston Texans area of the board will render on the home page. I have also added some video.

When I have some time I will look into adding some more things. In order for you guys to see these changes correctly you need to make sure you are using the "Default" theme. I will work in the other themes shortly when I have time. You can see the changes with the other themes however most of the alternate themes don't match very well to the overall scheme of the site.

Of course this is all a work in progress. The home page of course is here www.texanstalk.com
 
Its an awesome software upgrade....you guys can change your theme to "default" at the bottom left corner of your screens. There you will find a "quick style changer" drop down box . Most of you guys are on the default skin but if not, you can flip your skin to default without jumping through too many hoops. Other than the link that Kevin just posted, you can look to the bottom right hand side of the screen and find the path to the home page as well.
 
I was wondering why the board was looking different and when I tried to visit the site before I made my post I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. :D

I've noticed something since I have a wide screen monitor, that the BBS displays down the middle now with the dark blue on each side, where as before would take up the whole screen. Not that it matters much as far as reading posts is concerned, but just thought I'd throw that in.

Again, nice looking front page!
 
Just want to be the one to be an asshat.....I hate the new look, it's too difficult to get around, and well I think it's awful !!

Other than that, it's not bad at all ! :shades:
 
Must be me...but the screen is way too wide for my monitor.
Gotta scroll over on each page to get to the right hand side of the page.

Same deal here. First I thought I had to "remove the wrapper" again but thankfully this isn't the case. However, like you said, awesome new look and the front page is really well done.

I had that issue yesterday but I closed out and reopened a new brouser and came back and it was fixed.

Great work Kevin I like it.

The width of the site is set at 1024 pixels which will look a bit narrower to people with large/wide monitors, however is average resolution for most folks and should look good at most resolutions. If the site is too wide (meaning you have scroll bars going from right to left) then your resolution settings have to be below 1024 pixels wide, more than likely 800 pixels wide. If that is the case you must be on a real old machine (or monitor) or just have your resolution set too low. If I set my PC at that low of a resolution everything gets large and blurry. The higher the resolution the crisper all the graphics are. To fix that issue you need to bump up your resolution settings to at least 1024 pixels wide.

New machine..........old monitor..........still dial up out here in the boondocks.

Been wanting an excuse to buy a new flat screen monitor...thanks.

Best Buy here I come.

I'm at 1024x768 and I have to scroll over on some threads (but not others.)
