Attention Texan Fans in San Antonio

For those of yall who have been searching for Texans gear in San Antonio (as I have) the new Dick's Sporting goods on 1604 and Culebra has a selection of Texan polos and t-shirts, and hats. The only downer is that they do not have any jersies. I talked with the manager and he said that was the initial shipment he got and he thinks they may get some jersies as the season approaches. He is a Texans fan as well and he says if there were more customers requesting Texans jersies he would let corporate now there was a demand. If you cant wait order from the store on the team site. (they are the same prices) Just go to the store and encourage the manager and let him know there are thousands of Texans fans here in SA. Hopefully we can increase those wearing Texans gear in SA and grow the fanbase.

Meanwhile, does anyone want to get together and watch some preseason games and we can set up a plan for when they jerk the games off CBS or Fox? I know we have done so in the past? Anyone still up for it?
 
Awesome - I live off of 1604 and New Guilbeau. In fact, I just got a $10 gift certificate in the mail for the new store. I'll definitely check it out. In anycase, it sounds like Dick's is doing more for SA Texans fan than Academy has ever done.

Also, I'm down to watch some preseason games. We'll have to find out if BWW or any other sports bar carries the games. I know the Cowboys game will be televised, but I'm not sure if any other preseason game will be picked up.

Someone help me out....if you're subscribed to Sunday Ticket, do you get all the preseason games?

When the season gets underway - I'm lookin to set up a Texans watch party here in SA. I'll be bumping around the different Texans fansites trying to find locals interested in having a united front. (I'm sick and tired of being outnumbered by Cowboys fans 40-1.) I'll see about setting something up when the season gets rolling (like the sunken room at Champps). Keep an eye out for a post here or at BRB for details.

We have usually watched the games at BWW at de zavala because they have great service and always have texans on big screen. I say we I mean, myself Texiz great V-man, Wayn and others usually show up. lets set it up.
 
Well first we need to find out if they (CBS) will acctually show the games if so on 9-7-08 I will have house party if you want...... unless you want to deal with Steelers fans in person :gun:

My mom lives outside of Pittsburgh and I was hoping to get tickets but they are proving hard to get.

If i dont get tickets I am in. I could bring the boy if your wife doesnt mind having another hurricane running around.
 
That would be great to get a bunch of SA Texans fans together somewhere. I am so fing tired of that tool Mike Taylor and his cowboy cronies.
 
This seems like the right thread to ask this question....

Does Sunday Ticket broadcast preseason games? From what I've researched, no local stations will pickup the preseason game against the Broncos.
 
For any of you guys living here in SA i have 3 LL tickets in section 118 and 2 yellow parking passes. Will work out a deal with price and meet half way here in SA. I have both the Denver and Tampa games.

Oh yeah, thanks for the info on Dick's. Since I am right next to Seaworld, guess I will head down the road and check it out. Doubt they will have my size, but maybe get some other type of gear though.

Taylor is a tool, they wont even discuss any other team but the cowboys. He has the worst show on the ticket ever. I cant stand it. at least the new station ESPN the Zone they talk about them.
 
Man I just realized that San Antonio doesn't have a radio station even carrying the Texans this year. Could be a long year here in SA,

I asked the very same question to nick on the other board and some of the posters ripped me and told me to stop whining beucase of lack of anything Texan here in SA. They told me to get over it and watch the cowboys. Man that did not go over well. I had to stop myself from getting banned,
The loss of the Texans Radio really pissed me off. Check it out in the questions to nick section.

I'm usually down, if I'm not at a game, to hang with some of you gusy. Lost touch last year and don't get online much, but I'm fairly decent company and I think it's my turn to buy V-Man a beer as it is.
 
yeah guys, we're gonna have to find a location quick if yesterdays game was any indication, we may be pulled from local TV by week four.
