MMQB
Do you think he would fit in?
Do you think he can assume the 2nd or 3rd role?

Another choice would be, that Dallas keeps him.

If he doesnt want to be 3rd with the Boys, why would he want to be 3rd with us. I think Gaff is better anyways, the only thing Bryant has on Gaff is straight line speed.

He would fit on a team that needed him as a main WR

I vote for none of the above. Dallas will keep him imo, at least for now. But, yo ucan be sure he is on a short leash. Parcells will use him as a whipping boy, and try to make an example of him, so in that sense he could be useful to the Tuna.

Antonio Bryant's name hasn't been mentioned over at the Ranch since the 15th. I find it interesting though to poll a Texan interest since he doesn't fit the mold of the desired player's behavior. It seems that Bryant shouldn't be quite so volatile after seeing that his buddy was let go because of behavior problems.

I think talent-wise he would be better than anything we have except AJ. I don't think his attitude would fly here though. I expect the Cowboys to try to get it to work.

If Armstrong works out to be the find they think he is, the Texans are pretty well set for WRs this year. Besides no team needs a yardbird in the locker room, which Bryant has proven himself to be.

Dallas will not keep him. You DO NOT throw your jersey in Bill Parcels face, and expect to stay on the team! I dont think the Texans have any interest in him. The Texans dont persue problem players that let their emotions get the best of them like that.

I think the only reason the Texans would think about getting Bryant is if they are looking to replace Bradford after this season when his contract retires. Gaffney will be a good reciever but in order to do that he'll need some more passes thrown his way, something that didnt happen enough this past season. But I highly doubt that the Texans will do anything to get Bryant.

Amen to that, here is something I posted in another thread:

I would really like Carr to hit Gaff more. I think thats a key

Gaff averaged 4 receptions and 53 yards the first four games of the season, when we found DD against the Titans Gaff averaged only 1.5 receptions and only 16 yards a game. And Gaff's most productive games after week 4 were when Tony Banks played: Buffalo, first Indy game and Carolina.

So Gaff had 212 yards in the 4 games pre-DD, after-DD Gaff had 200 yards in 10 games and 128 of those yards came with Tony Banks at QB.

I think Carr needs to look Gaff's way more, no more of this AJ long, DD short stuff.

I know there were alot of people who wanted him when he was in the draft. I was just thinking what if he actually worked with a group of hardworking classy and determined athletes as the Texans. This would make for a very young receiving corp and could be potentially awesome for years to come. Would be like getting two first rounders in our second year of the draft for the price of a later round draft choice or something.

Actually because of his poor attitude and potential problems he was passed over in the draft and that's why his stock fell. Because certainly he has the tools to have been a first round pick.

I suppose it would be comparable to the Moss situation although I am not sure that Bryant is anywhere close to as good as Moss.

I still think he will stay with the Cowboys.

I don't think it would matter what team he went to. The problem rests with Antonio. Until he gets himself straightened out on a personal level he simply brings his problems with him. He's a grown man. There's not a "classy" pill these guys take. They have to grow up and act like somebody on their own.

Now just to add some mix to this question, what if (and this would be a huge, very unlikely if) the Texans were to manage trading back that 3rd round pick they got for Henson to get Bryant. I mean it would mean we turned a 6th round gamble into a first round draft choice.

I would be down for that. He would give us a great lineup of WR. Even if 1 or 2 went down to injury, they would still have 2 good WR to throw to. I think it would be worth it. I know he's got the temper problem, but regardless, a team will pick him up if he is released. Why not have him play for us, instead of against us?

Or maybe because the last time Glenn played him he had some interceptions and could've had like 5 with two TDs if he just held on to the ball.

Bad attitudes can really mess a team up.

If the Texans trade for Bryant, what kind of signal does that send to all the players who have worked hard and kept themselves out of trouble?

What kind of message would that send to incoming rookies who have heard that Capers doesn't tolerate bad attitudes or poor work ethics?

I for one would be extremely disappointed in Casserly and Capers for messing around with a formula that so far has appeared to work pretty well.

I hope the Texans don't have anything to do with Bryant, even if he is released by the Cowboys and doesn't require a draft pick. I would really be upset if they trade anything at all to acquire Bryant. A third round draft pick would be waaaay too much.
