Echemandu signed again??

So I'm listening to 1300 The Zone in Austin on my way home from work. They start bringing up the reasons the Texans should try to sign Benson (they had some good points but there is another thread for that I am sure). Then they talk about all the RBs they have and out of nowhere a guy says that we have Adam Echimandu back. Another guy said that he isn't even with the team but this dude says that Megan Manfull told him we signed him again because coaches felt like he fit the system.

Does anyone know if we signed him again? I don't expect Austin radio to know much about our Texans but when he mentioned Megan Manfull it made me second guess.

Also what do you think this moves means for the Texans if true?
 
Austin has the worst sports radio of any city I've ever lived in - especially when they're not talking about what color underwear the UT assistant coaches wear. I would take myself, and about ten or twelve other TexansTalk posters over ANY of the 1300 AM sports hosts when it comes to professional football talk.

Echemandu's on the Raiders roster, presently. They re-signed him after cutting him, and after we cut him.
 
Camp bodies.

Assuming Green isn't cut we'll be looking at going into the season minimally with Green, Brown, Slaton, and Chris Taylor maybe if we decide to go 4 deep at RB
 
It is amazing how rumours and hunches get swept up and devoured in the offseason, everyone is soo hungry for info and action.

I think the RB battle in training camp with the 5 guys on the roster will be one of the highlights of training camp, at least one decent back will be cut..... *cough* Green *cough*

I doubt very much that Green will be cut.

The more realistic scenario would be that either Walker or Taylor gets cut and signed to PS.

Someone needs to go find a Raiders board and tell them that the Texans traded the Giants Ron Dayne (in a sign and trade) for Echemandu and Seth Wand in a three team deal that gets them Jeremy Shockey.

Then watch and wait as they run around trying to verify it. Hilarity may ensue.

If I thought for a second there was a Raider fan in the world who could both read and operate a computer, I might do that.

Seriously, that guy lost the starter job to Ron Dayne. Let that sink in.

Why are you listening to AM radio?

SIRIUS radio! it's inexpensive and has the best radio station in the history of the world: NFL network. The afternoon show with Pat Kirwin and Tim Ryan is the best freakin' show around. Also, there's only about 10 minutes worth of breaks per hour compared to 30 minutes on AM radio.


If you're a football fan, I'd get SIRIUS radio before I got the Ticket or spent money on anything else football related- other than gameday tickets.

You can try it out online for free for a few days. Listen to the afternoon show between 2-6pm during the week. It also replays on other channels and at some point at night.

Then please stop listening to "1300 the zone in Austin".........why the hell would the Texans want to sign Cedric Benson, the guy is a absolute bust and this is coming from a UT fan. There are absolutely no reasons why Houston should try to sign Benson, in fact the only reason I can think of from a "Austin perspective" is that they just want more Longhorns on the team. The guy is lazy, injury prone, and now has a growing rap sheet. Cedric Benson is not, nor ever has been that good to over look those concerns, with the depth on this Houston squad there is no place for him on the roster......hell, most likely even if he was signed, he wouldn't even make it out of camp.
