Undrafted Free Agent Thread

LAS CRUCES —Former New Mexico State offensive lineman Mike Martinez said Friday he is hopeful of getting drafted or signing with an team after this weekend's National Football League Draft.

The 6-foot-4, 330-pound Martinez was a four-year starter for NMSU and played at center and tackle.

He recently worked out for the Buffalo Bills. He's also had contact with the Washington Redskins, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins.

not sure but
a tidbit

Eric Young of Tennessee & Drew Radovich of USC are interior linemen worth investigating. Tommy Blake is the most intriguing player left.

Anthony Aldridge! He probably doesn't get a look with us since we drafted Slaton, but it would be neat to see in a Texans uniform anyway.

Danny Woodhead
Brian Witherspoon
Curtis Johnson
Weston Dressler
Rudolph Hardie
Thaddeus Coleman

Ali Highsmith would be an excellent addition. I'm actually rather surprised that he wasn't taken in the 7th.

Here's a few I'd like to see brought in for a look-see.

Eric Bakhtiari (DE)
Louis Holmes (DE)

Ezra Butler (OLB)
Ali Highsmith (OLB)
Shane Simmons (OLB)

Travis Williams (CB)

Shannon Boatman (OT)

Xavier Lee (QB)

drew radovich.
we do not want xavier lee hes terrible.
dj hall or adarius bowman maybe
the signings usually take place right after the draft right? like within a couple of days

I wouldn't mind seeing us bring in Jonathan Zenon as a FS. Give him a shot. I think if he can keep everything in front of him, he might have better instints.

Position: CB
Class: Sr
School: LSU
Conference: SEC
Ht: 5-11.5, Wt.: 191
40 Time: 4.51

BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who also saw action with the first-team as a sophomore. Senior totals included 45/3/9 after 27/4/16 prior year.

POSITIVES: Average sized cornerback with limited upside for the next level. Plays faster than his 40-time, displays a quick break to the throw and stays with opponents throughout their routes. Displays a willingness to defend the run and a sure handed tackler who brings ball carriers down on initial contact.

NEGATIVES: Bites on ball fakes, blows assignments and tends to lose a sense of where he is on the field. Struggles making plays with his back to the ball and marginally instinctive.

ANALYSIS: Zenon has been a productive cornerback at LSU yet lacks the size and speed to be anything other than a situational player in the NFL. His best opportunity at the next level is backing up in a zone system.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

Ezra Butler (OLB)
I like him alot....was watching the Bell kid and he caught my eye. he is a bit stiff in the hips but he can run all over the feild. Big guy.... 245. I thought he was a better player than Bell.

I am a proud Florida State Seminole, but if we look at either Xavier Lee or Shannon Boatman I will question our administration big time.

Hey General McClain, it's Jesse Nading.

He is not the only one getting that wrong? Unless this sites gets its info from the comic section of the local Houston paper.
