Mayock has Flowers as #1 corner

Mayock has moved all his corners around so much that I think he is doing it so that if Flowers ends up as the best then he can say, Oh yea I had him as #1.

And if he ends up as about the 5th best he can say, Oh yea I had him at about #5.

So you are saying Mayock is the new Kipper?

I think he's the safest IMO, certainly not a game breaker, but i wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a solid CB in the NFL. As i've said in other threads though, i think Macho Harris had more upside of the 2, too bad he's not in the draft this year.

well mayock has said he thinks flowers is the best cb.... if he could run a little faster, he have him at the top

i dont think mayock is like kiper that way

i've never heard Mayock brag about a mock draft he did or any rankings he did after the fact.

I'd listen to a 14 year old nerdy kid from a School debate team before some slimey guy with a used car salesman hairdo. Kiper's an asshat....literally.

Mayock's the man.

Mayock just updates his board when new information comes in. After the season, he created his lists. After studying more tape, he changed them. After the combine, he updated them. After some pro-days, he moved them around some more. Every team out there is doing the same thing.

I've got no problem with this.

At least Mayock doesn't appear to fall in love with guys and then get pissed off when other people don't have the rated the same.

Mayock also has McFadden as the #2 back behind Mendenhaul. I dunno know if that's the right order or not, but its surely not the popular order. I like it that Mayocks a maverick. There's so much group think, so much conformity amoung the so-called Draft analysts
that's its nice to see someone step up and declare what is clearly some independant decisions, whether or not he's right.

definitely seeing McFadden drop on boards. some folks have him behind Mendenhall and Stewart.

ridiculous. better prospect than Peterson.

Im confused, are you saying that McFadden is a better prospect than Peterson?

Before the draft last year, McFadden was generally thought to be a better pro prospect than Peterson.

Now that AD has made his mark in the pros, most people have changed that opinion though.

I dunno.

I was telling people, before the draft, that Adrian Peterson and LT were going to be in a class of their own as RBs in a couple years. Alot of people agreed with me.

I don't really see McFadden to be like Adrian Peterson.

Anyway back on topic: I like Flowers alot. I was bragging about him during the year, but I just don't like him as a first rounder. He plays well close to the line of scrimmage, but you get him out in the open on deep balls and such and he struggles.

i'm not going to change my opinion on one player because of the success or failure of another player. no logic there at all.

When making a comparison between players it IS logical to change an opinion.

nope, not at all. unless i thought Peterson would suck, of course. but i said last year he was the best back coming out of the draft since Barry Sanders.

if you read what i said, then you shouldn't confused at all. i was fairly clear.

Not really. You said "ridiculous. better prospect than Peterson."

Now if you had said, better prospect than Peterson....ridiculous.... That would be clear. :whip:

Jonathan Stewart will be the best RB out of this class over time. think of him as thicker built version of Emmitt Smith. better grounded than McFadden or Peterson (more upright running styles) & squeeky clean off field. :specnatz:

I Believe what he is rating this class as a whole; lot of blue collar guys and no Deion Sanders. Everyone at the top has a hole in his game. He also watches a lot of film. Took him untill the end of Mrach to finish it all.

My only nit pick with Mayock is his Irish will lock in on guys early and he can't get off off that. Matty ice is a prety fair QB prospect....but he isn't top ten. I don't care who you are saying it. and the wives tale about selecting a Franchise Qb when you get a chance regardles of the circumstances....it's just that, a wives tale. You have a better chace at pass/don't pass at a vegas dice table than you do of hitting one with in the first ten picks.....at fifty million a throw...prety stupid if you're not drop dead sure.

If the turff toe heals correctly....

There fixed it.

I digress. I feel Stewart's timed speed is different from his game speed. He is not an open field runner, though he does has good speed for his size. I do not think he will be able to consistently turn the corner in the NFL. I believe he will be restricted to more "between the tackles" running, especially when teams consider his style of running. I do not think he has the shifty hips to make people miss to often in close quarters. He will have his moments because of his size/speed off of good blocks, but I see him averaging about 3 yards a carry in the NFL. I just don't buy that he is a franchise RB.

Sorry I haven't been around much the past few days, the girlfriends little sister is in town visiting and I was apparently volunteered to help play host. :(

good god man where are your priorities, J/K

:elle: ....peterson is the best college running back i've ever seen. i can't agree.

Still cant figure out why people think so little of Ryan. Did you ever watch him play? IMO he is a way better prospect than Russel was last year. He has a better chance at becoming a franchise QB than McFadden dooes at becoming a franchise RB.

Russell = better athletically, makes fewer mistakes, more accurate, etc

Ill give you better athlete and stronger arm but thats it. Theres no compairison pocket presence, leadership ability, accuracy, etc. Look at their surrounding cast they had in their last year of college. Russel was surrounded with top tier talent and threw for 2,797 yards, 26 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Ryan was surrounded by below average talent and threw for 4,507 yards, 31 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. I dont care who drafts Ryans, he will be a better pro than Russel.

of course Mussop....You tell me out of the top ten picks @ QBs over the last ten years who do you seriously conider Matty Ice better than ? Make you own top ten.... Do you seriously consider Matty better than Jay Cuttler, Russel....Vincent Young. Looks like another Rodgers -Smith guy to me....Intangeables....does that mean you can't throw a dart on a fifteen yard out when your team is at third and fourteen and the dart is two yards short of "there" ?
