Inspired by the the Mile High Report, created by Hoth-Boy.

This is an up to date chart that is labeled with each team, the number of the pick and any notes regarding who got which pick from where. Below the fold are the notes themselves, as well as a quick summary of likely Compensatory picks that will be awarded this year (based on the vagaries of free agency around the league), and a link to a site which gives a much more in depth analysis of the likely compensatory picks. This post includes a link to a downloadable PDF that you can print out for handy reference. I will update the chart once the compensatory picks are officially released, as well as several other undisclosed picks that have yet to be officially announced (and may not even fall in this draft year). I hope you all enjoy!

The Houston Texans traded their second-round selection in 2008 to the Atlanta Falcons, as well as the 8th and 39th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Jamaal Anderson and Justin Blalock, respectively) in exchange for the 10th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Amobi Okoye) and Matt Schaub.

The Washington Redskins traded their fourth-round selection in 2008, and their third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) to the Denver Broncos as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)

Saints to Jets. The Saints traded their fourth-round selection in 2008 to the Jets, for Jonathan Vilma.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round and fifth-round selections to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Broncos to Rams. Denver traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the St. Louis Rams for defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy.[24] The trade occurred after the Broncos had tried to trade the same pick to Miami for defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson; that trade was voided.

Browns to Eagles. Cleveland traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for center Hank Fraley. The trade was conditional on games started by Fraley, and could have fallen to a seventh-round pick, but Fraley started all 16 games.

Yet to be Disclosed

Titans to Seahawks. The Tennessee Titans traded an undisclosed draft pick in 2008 (which may be 2008 6th round draft pick because Seattle has a Round6;Pick23 in the 2008 NFL Draft) to Seattle for defensive end Bryce Fisher.

Buccaneers to Chiefs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded two different undisclosed draft picks for 2008 to Kansas City for nose tackle Ryan Sims and running back Michael Bennett.

Redskins to Jets. Washington traded a fifth-round draft pick in 2008 to the New York Jets for Pete Kendall. If Kendall played more than 80% of the Redskins' snaps in 2007, the Jets would instead receive a fourth-round pick in 2009.

Forfeited

Patriots first-round pick. As penalty for videotaping defensive signals in their season opener against the Jets, the Patriots forfeited their first-round pick since they qualified for the playoffs; they would have lost their second- and third-round picks if they had not. (The pick acquired from the 49ers will not be affected.)

Chargers fourth-round pick. San Diego used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Paul Oliver.

Ravens fifth-round pick. Baltimore used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Jared Gaither.

Thanks for the time taken to provide this, KT. It looks like Cincy and Indy raked in some picks this year.

KT, I can edit the colors to make it more of a Texans draft chart, if y'all would like. The problem is I have no way of uploading it to the web.

KT- Nice find and excellent info... thanks for posting. It's been really hard for me to find what team has what picks in rounds 2-7.

Here's a link to the "Draft Pick Value Chart" that is a guide as to what each pick is valued at by 'points'. It helps in looking for possible trade scenarios and how much early round picks are really worth vs. later rounds.

You can setup an account at flickr.com and upload the modified chart there.

Is there a new draft pick chart available? I had read somewhere that someone had modified this chart to be more accurate with recent deals. Or is this just a fig newton of my imaginabisco?
.

Kendall started all 16 games for the Skins. So I'm thinking this will turn into the 2009 4th rounder. Thanks for the info, Dude. :ok:

I know how to do it, it's just a mater of while at work I cannot acces sites like flickr and photobucket and imageshack and such.

NM, I can get into flikr from work, which is odd.

I should be done soon-ish.

There have been reports teams were working on a new value chart, but I haven't seen it published anywhere. I think most of the jiggering was going to e at the top to reflect the substantial disincentive to move up created by the out of control contracts in the top 5-7 picks.

A few corrections in order of picks:

34: Atlanta has this now (Me-Angelo trade)
87: Detroit (Shaun Rogers deal)
99: Baltimore
158: Jacksonville
191: Philly
224: Buffalo
226: Oakland (Me-Lo trade, I presume)
230: Philly
233: Seattle

I got these off the ESPN and GBN sites. These were the only discrepancies between the three listings, so I presumed that where ESPN and GBN were in agreement, the change was needed.

Thanks for the great work!

Does anybody have an updated printable draft order for every round? I've only seen lists with opinions and mocks and junk. It'd be much easier than writing every one of them. I take notes during the draft (yes, I'm a nerd like that) and would like the list to simplify my notes. Can anybody hook a fellow Texans MBer up?

If you tell me what changes need to be made to the above one I can send you a good pdf of it, just be warned it's scaled to fit on legal size paper.

The KC/Min trade's one change. I'm drawing a blank on other recent trades.

I'd like to have a list (multiple pages, I'm sure) in a single column in order for notes next to each team.

If it's a pain in the butt don't worry about it.

It's not hard, I just havn't been keeping up with the last few days of trades.
