Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor has already moved away from South Florida. The only thing left is to figure out his next address.
Three sources close to the Dolphins organization said this week that Taylor and the team he has been part of for 11 years have graciously agreed to part ways between now and the NFL draft April 26. There’s no animosity between Taylor and new Dolphins guru Bill Parcells or coach Tony Sparano.
There are just plans that each side has. Those plans don’t include each other.

What about going after Odom from Tennessee he's only 26 and Taylor is 33. Plus Odom is a UFA.

Profootball Talk was saying that the Packers and Dolphins are in talks for trading Taylor for a 2nd and 4th round pick. The Packers picked up a couple of extra picks for Cory Williams.

I am unsure what the Texans would be willing to give up. But 2 draft picks for Taylor is a lot. He will be entering his 11th year this season and will give you 2 -3 years maybe. If the Texans were only 2-3 players away I could see making this move but there are to many holes to fill at this point to make this trade IMHO.

Nobody this side of Charlie Casserly would give anything for Taylor. When you sign a player your making an investment and there is not much of an investment in a 34 year old who dances with the stars.

Maybe his new address will be LA, and he'll take up where Emmitt left off!:) Might be fun to see what he can do with his feet on a dance floor rather than a football field.

Rumblings out of Miami is that DE Jason Taylor wants out from the rebuilding process taking shape with the Dolphins. Could he, would he, would we go after him to bookend our D line with Mario?

He apparently has 2 years still on his Miami contract, but wow, would that not be a bold move for the Texans!

I say we pursue it!!!

No, not with the Contract he has... I wouldnt even want to know how much is loaded into the last 2 years of his contract. $45 mil over 6 years, so we are talking big bucks unless he restructures his contract.

I've been thinking of this for a few days now... What would Jason Taylor mean to this team and is it even feasible?

He definately seems to want out of Miami. There is a frequent history of trade between Miami and Houston. Weeks ago I thought it would be more likely to see him a Jag or a Buc. Jags are now out with their draft.

What a front 4 we would have.

we trade weaver for taylor and throw in maybe a 5th or 6th?

(wasn't the rumor Taylor for 4th in the draft?)
