2005 Draft Picks

FSUBulldog

Practice Squad
My $0.02 -

We should take:
Mike Williams, USC - WR
Logan Mankins, FSU - OL

Can you imagine lining AJ and Mike Williams up #1 and #2? Anyone see the Virginia/FSU bowl game this year? Mankins owned all comers on a Virigina defensive squad that is expected to have several high draft picks this year. Heaven knows we need OL help, and he's as solid as they come...

Mike Williams = bigger version of Derrick Armstrong.

Ill stick with what we have and focus on getting a good player we need.

I dont think that we will pick Williams based on we dont need a WR that bad, but come on DA is no where as Mike.

I think Marcus Spears should be considered for the Texans. He would make a great DE in the 3-4. I'd say Pro Bowl for him.

Earnest Shazor is who I'd like in the 2nd round. He is 6'4" 226 lbs and ru a 4.45 40 yard dash. He is a ballhawk and he should be a star along with Robinson, Spears, Sharper, and others in the future.

Fabian Washington a corner out of Nebraska would be a great addition if Aaron Glenn were to leave. He would be a fantastic nickel corner, but he can also be a great starter as well. He is 5'11" 190 lbs and runs a sub 4.4 40. Great in coverage.

With the other 3rd round pick, Jerome Mathis out of Hampton would ebmy choice. He is a FAST wide receiver and could grow around Johnson for a great combo for years. Get someone like Joe Jurevicius from free-agency to be the slot and you would have a great 4 receiver set with Johnson, Gaffney, JJ, and Mathis.

4th round-Ray Willis OT Florida St.
5th round-Travis Daniels CB/FS
6th round-Anthony Curtis TE Portland St.
7th round-Vince Carter C/LS Oklahoma
7th round-Santonio Thomas NT Miami(FL)

You are about as close as it gets to a mock. You hit the nail on the head with both Spears and Shazor. Shazor is a huge sleeper, I just hope he doesn't get out of our range.

Did anyone catch the lB that put up 225 34 times??? Thats unheard of for a lb...i can understand OL or DL...but for a lb...that was incredible. Not sure on how he ran or hell anything other than what i saw in that portion of the combine. But i'd hate to be a scout trying to decide how to grade these guys in this draft...there were some unbelievable performances in the combine by most positions...what a tough job to have to pick through this crop.

He just ran an unnofficial 4.33 in the combine, i just watched it and thought about this post. Thought I'd just give you all an exact idea of how fast he is. 4.33 is the fastest I've seen from anybody in the combine.
