Muhsin Muhammad released (signs with Chicago)

this is the reciever the texans need to get to replace corey bradford
I dont think he could replace Bradford's role. Muhammad is a possession, Bradford is a speed guy. We already have Gaff as a possession WR and Armstrong looks like another. We need a burner to help spread the defense. Plus, Muhammad is going to want a lot of money.

what we need is a vet. reciever that can mentor our young corp of recievers...muhammad is a tall big reciever like andre he would be great to match with andre...and he doesn't need to be the fastest reciever we have...he just needs to do the same thing he did last year...make catches when they are thrown to him

Gaffney and Armstrong can both catch, and they aren't exactly short. Gaffney is around 6'1" and Armstrong is about the same I believe. The only way I would advocate getting a WR is if he was a burner, like Fiddy said. I think the draft would be a better place to look though, just so we don't overpay for someone at a position we don't have a serious need. Of course then you need to weigh if a WR drafted this season could be any better than Sloan Thomas and Kendrick Starling, if not, hold off on another WR for now.

To the extent one or two inches makes much of a difference:

Armstrong 6' 2"
Gaffney 6' 1"
AJ 6' 3"
Starling 6' 0"
Thomas 6' 1"

FYI--there was only one WR taller than AJ that also had more yards last season--Drew Bennett.

Drew is taller than AJ?

Interesting...never knew that.

this is turning out good for the texans i think if they wanna trade back.

the moss trade is stupid if they plan on going with a wr....i dont think they will.

the bears are a little more solid on their recieving crew ,and i think ofcourse that means theyre more likely to pass on williams or edwards now.

it means the recievers may slip some and i think at least 1 of the big 3 rbs will slip as well. could mean there is some decent offensive talent at 13 another team could want...

trade back charley!

This is a great pick-up for the bears, obviously that will pass on taking a WR at #4 and improving the chances that a decent one could fall right into our mitts. :thumbup

Not too sure about that. David Terrell will probably be released. The leaves Wade and Gage. Neither are considered a #2.
