I just saw this while looking at different Mock Drafts and thought this would be interesting and want to see what you guys/gals would think about this?? I would like the idea of us drafting McFadden but think wont/maybe should'nt do to the fact that we need the draft picks we have. I also would'nt mind having Mendenhall anyways. Look and read at #6

McFaddin will not get out of the top five. Your poll is flawed to begin with.

They have to hit a CB with in the first two picks.

Unless there is another Amboi stud sitting at eighteen, he'll atempt to move down.

St. Louis just put their two on the open market....top four of five teams will be looking to move down with this draft clss. Value is between 24 and 99. The more of those picks you have the better off your team is going to be. If we had a two, we could move up with Denver and select Clady.

Is it possible for Texans to strike gold again with a Trae Williams, Justin King, Patrick Lee, Terrence Wheatley in the 4th?

Also, I like Darnell Terrell in 5th 6'2" 200 lbs 4.43 who can go cb/fs. He is also listed on link.

I voted other because I think they'll go BPA among OT, CB, or S. I doubt we'll see RB in the first round, and I am good with that.

The texans will draft a running back in the 1st round and my reasoning is that the Texans do not want to go into the season with another Raw corner opposite Bennett because they do not know how & when Daunta will be ready and if he will be able to handle playing corner again. I think they will sign a very good free agent corner and then they will take another to develope in the 3rd or 4th round. The texans will probably sign one big name corner and another mid level corner for depth as well.

Draft:
1st RD. RB Rashard Mendenhall Illinois 5-11 224 4.50
3rd RD. DE Chris Ellis Virginia Tech 6-5 260 4.75
4th RD. FS Craig Steltz L.S.U. 6-2 209 4.58
5th RD OT Tony Hills Texas 6-6 305 5.10
6th RD DT Letroy Guion Florida St. 6-4 295 5.15
7th RD OLB Nick Watkins Clemson 6-2 226 4.68

Free Agent Signings.

CB - Florence, Drayton UFA Chargers 5 Year Deal
CB - Kelly, Brian UFA Buccaneers
Safety- Wilson, Gibril UFA Giants
OLB - Bailey, Boss UFA Lions,
DE - Odom, Antwan UFA Titans

Dont be so sure. There are reports coming out that McFadden has some serious bagage that alot of teams arent going to want to deal with. Oakland is a team that doesnt care about such things but just resigned Fargus to a new big contract, Atlanta surely doesnt want to go down that road again. Miami, ST Louis and KC all have their franchise backs already. There is a real good chance he falls out of the top 5.

Of course Dallas could jump into #1 and change all that.

I've been thinking he does have a good chance of that. Would a team like the Jets take Gholston DE/OLB over McFadden? They might- could end up in front of New Englands face. New England could be looking to trade down and if Dallas really does want him, it's cheaper to trade up to #6 or #7(NE) Would probably take both their first and LB Carpenter to New England???

Where are those reports?

I've never heard anything like that.

Can you please expound on this "serious baggage" you're speaking of?

I saw Mike Mayock analyze McFaddin on NFLN, and he said he didn't think he should go before the 20th pick. I don't recall him saying where he thought he would go. He currently has Mendenhall ranked ahead of McFadden and Stewart ranked third.

Mayock is also the guy who ratcheted up his value on Henne from Michigan to the #2 QB after the Senior Bowl practices (Ahead of Brohm and behind Ryan), so right or wrong, he's doing more than duplicating others opinion.

Clearly, we're not going to care whether his QB rankings are on target, and at this point, I'm thinking that at #18, we're not going to have to worry if McFadden's really worth a top 20 pick. I'll bet if he were available, we could probably trade down the the Cowboys and get both their 1st round picks along with their low 2nd rounder (and no - I don't really believe that could happen).

You will be hearing about it soon enough. Ill give you a hint though. You dont get to pick who your ____ is.

I love the people that come onto a message board & act like they have secret knowledge about something like this, but they refuse to spill it.

That way, if it is wrong (or made up) nobody will know.

And if the player does anything at all then the poster comes back on & reveals that this, of course, is what he knew would happen.

Well, the only thing I KNOW about is that his mother leased the guy a car.
He had some trouble in January at a Little Rock piano bar.

A fight at a Little Rock bar early Thursday morning leads to Arkansas Razorback Darren McFadden in handcuffs.

A police report states, shortly after midnight, a witness claims he saw several people, including McFadden, striking an employee of the Ernie Biggs Piano Bar in the River Market. The report goes on to say McFadden was agitated and provoking aggressive behavior.

"They're talking about I struck a bouncer. I know that's wrong because I didn't strike anyone. I was trying to get out of the place when I saw everyone tussling and things," McFadden says.

He is not charged with any crime.
I think there was another instance of McFadden involved in a bar related incident. Didn't find it. Seeing that McFadden is still underage, maybe these bars have some explaining to do as to how Darren was allowed in.

Well I may be wrong, but I thought that if you were underage, you were allowed in the bar, you just cant buy a drink.

In Arkansas, minors may be allowed in if food is served. Apparently, Ernie Biggs piano bar does not serve food.

Carl Kirkland, enforcement director of the Alcohol Beverage Control, said an investigation has been launched to determine if Ernie Biggs violated any laws by letting the McFadden brothers into the bar. Ernie Biggs is a private club that serves alcohol but no food. State law does not allow a private club to admit anyone younger than 21 if the business does not serve food.

ABC director Michael Langley said Ernie Biggs could face a fine and probation, unless it is determined there are regular violations that could lead to a suspension.
The same article mentions another McFadden incident from '06.

This is the second time Darren McFadden has been involved in an incident involving a fight at a Little Rock bar.

McFadden underwent emergency surgery July 29, 2006, shortly after injuring his toe after a fight outside The Palace nightclub. He was not arrested in that incident, either.
