If the cards hung on to some of those player they might actually be a legit team!

They have a premier pass rusher in Rice. A ok running back, and 2 star recievers.

Remember when DeWayne Robertson was picked in the 2003 draft right after
we picked AJ ? That was one of the biggest surprises in recent years because
there had been so little hype about this guy who was rated much lower prior
in the draft by the "experts" - nobody had him in the top 10 in their mocks.
But as I recall, the Jets made a big trade to move up and get him. Number 4 overall - we might see some things like that happen this year.

I actually remember a lot of hype about Robertson as the draft neared. He was called "Baby Sapp" by alot of mock draft experts. I can't recall if the Jets fans booed this pick or not, but I'm thinking they didn't boo him can't be sure though. Either way he definately had some hype surrounding him because there was talk about him not living up to his hype by the media during his rookie campaign. We all saw this past year why he was so highly hyped. He played much better in his second year.

Hey Guy, you were all over that one and I missed it big time. I took the time
to do a little research (which I should have done in the first place), and found that Robertson was in fact rated very high in the mocks "as the draft neared." Thanks for pointing that out, next time I'll check it out first before trying to rely on my old, feeble memory.

Don't worry about that I do the same thing. I just happened to remember Robertson because he played under a head coach at Kentucky that eventually became Baylor's head coach. I'm a Baylor alum so that explains my fascination with the Bears.

Good lord look at Baltimore. Aside from Travis Taylor, I believe all of those guys have been to at least one Pro Bowl.

and arguably their best player Reed .. wasn't in the top 10

You had to be a pretty bad team to have 7 top ten picks in 10 years. Good drafting got them out of that cycle...eventually.
