Tony blowmo!!!...not for cowboy fan*******

ok i kinda started to like tony, or at least respect him. But if these rumors that he blames the loss on jessica simpson are true, then i would gladly take this situation as a reason do dislike him again. What a joke, blaming it on a chick instead of taking reponsibility for it yourself, what a cowboy. Just when i thought i might feel bad for one player, he reaches out for my hate.....

First of all, where did Tony Romo ever say it was her fault??

I've never heard rumors of him blaming his performances on his women friends. Do you have any legit sources to back up the claim? This clip is just ESPiN talking heads doing what they do best, talking junk.

I'm not a guy that will rush to defend the Cowboys, but until I hear Romo say it, I'll take the idea with a grain of salt.

its all on espn as ive been watching. He supposedly dumped her, and a friend of his said that he is starting to blame jessica for the poor play. Check out PTI online and what not, its all speculation, but like i said IF it were true....damn...:splits:

i changed my link, i put the wrong one up originally....

I heard this today but it wasn't that he blamed her. He basically broke up because her Dad is crazy and they were a little too overbearing. The rumor said she refused the breakup..lol

BTW, Blowmo or whatever is really lame and running with stuff like this is pure National Enquirer. Its this stuff that makes Cowboy fans talk. Just saying.

Its a joke, you know what the media is like, he probably made a passing comment to someone in jest and they put a spin on it to make it sound more than it is. Tony Romo is a clever guy and im sure he realises that Jessica Simpson has no bearing on the game at all.

i got ya, i know its speculation thats why i thought it would make for a nice discussion. you know we love ya frog but that doesnt change my opinion of Dallas completely......

i though blowmo was clever...no?:winky:

If I was involved with her, I'm sure other things in my life would start lagging. Little things like eating, getting out bed, etc...

He said in the press conference after the game as the QB HE took the responsibility for the loss.

Other day on the radio, I heard the host call Tony Romo, Tony McRomo. He explained that Tony is the Tracy McGrady of the NFL. Great regular season stats, then disappears in the Playoffs.

exactly, man. he isn't blaming the loss on her but he knows that he screwed up going to a 'vacation' spot right before the playoffs began, he set himself up for failure and for criticism. his agent and family are probably talking some sense into him. there are women, more intelligent and more attractive than Jessica and not so high maintenance. He needs to find a nice low profile good Southern girl and get back to football and do less star *******ing. The pressure is on 'McRomo' now and he just doesnt need all the distractions....neither do the Cowboys. They are circling the drain right about now.

As much as we agree on everything didn't this crap about Romo come up after last years playoff loss?"He's done..he'll never recover...he is a mess...teams figured him out." Then he came out and was a legit Pro Bowler. I'm not getting the crap on him. He is one guy in the league who is pretty cool, doesn't make excuses and is fun to watch. The guy has played basically a year and a half and this was his first full year. Pretty good if you ask me.

There is just something about the guy that I just can't get behind and it pretty much started around the time he mangled that snap against Seattle last year. I am a Texan but I was born in Missouri the 'Show Me State'. Then this year with the whole pre-playoff vacation stop and the media circus that this created, just wasn't wise especially considering last season's playoff demons.

I like the way the guy plays. Nice spiral, gunslinger's mentality. He likes to throw in space and has a pretty quick release once his man is open, but he lacks some of the intangibles I like. The delay of game call and the unforced intentional grounding plays really didn't do much for my confidence of his mental game. I wish the team the best though. Jones has tried really hard to put a winner together but he needs to stop coming onto the field. It's getting really old and it ain't helping.

I don't know what ones you like but the guy gets out of trouble and makes plays. The unforced intentional grounding was an admitted mistake by the officials..league came out with it. He also can't help when the plays get to him. It happens all the time..eli had multiple ones. Jones can do what he wants, he owns the team and other owners do it with less fanfare. No excuses here...I just think people are making way too big a deal about stuff for a basically new starter. Is Peyton a horrible player who spiraled. It took him what...7 years. We agree on most, just not this.

I've been wrong before, man. He just has to show me in the playoffs before i can truly get on board. Love his story, his reported work ethic, and his attitude is refreshing albeit slightly naive. With great power comes great responsibility. He plays QB for the Cowboys. He kinda flubbed things up imho.

As for the grounding call, the refs said they got it wrong? did they really? are you freaking kidding me? I always thought that you could throw it out of bounds if you were ruled to not be 'under diress'. Just like spiking the ball to stop the clock. I thought maybe they had changed the rule so that whether you were 'under diress' made no difference and that you still had to be outside tackle box and get the ball past the line of scrimmage. That is a huge and inexcusable error by the refs, if they did indeed admit that they got it wrong. I have made a bad call or two during my days of umpiring but me and the crew get together and we will make things right. We don't ever just say 'oh well, sucks to be you' and then admit we screwed up after the game.

As for Jerry, hopefully he watched Kraft celebrate another Super Bowl appearance in the Owner's booth where you belong. maybe he will learn one day. this attitude drove one of the greatest NFL coaches ever out of town...you would have thought he would have learned. i respect that he played Division 1 football in college and has done so much positive work as the owner of the Cowboys, but he needs to let the players play and view from above...I am just bitter because I really wanted the Cowboys to punk New York. Having the Giants and Patriots in a Super Bowl together, just makes me cry.

Is it that hes cocky as all get out? or is it that he is no competitor and instead of watcing tape, he goes to mexico? or is it that all those broken plays where he should have been jacked up, the media made him look like he knew what he was doing? or is it that most of his fans think hes the greatest thing since sliced bread?

i got more....

I don't like Romo, but I doubt he blamed her for the loss. I think he realized that he shouldn't have gone to Mexico with her, as it caused a distraction for the team.

I'm pretty sure he watched some tape before the game.

Every single player on the Cowboys got a one week vacation. Romo isnt the only one.

Witten was in Mexico with Romo & Jessica. Where is all your hate for him?

Bad call, and the NFL told the Cowboys on Monday that was a blown call

I'm not here to make excuses. They lost fair and square but on a drive to win the game 1st and 20 becomes huge.

NFLN's "All Access" said that Romo was one of a handful of Cowboys players to go on that trip. Anyone hear of others going to a vacation destination with him?

And as of right now, he's a better QB than either Schaub or Rosenfels.

well it obviously wasnt enough, that one statement is a shot at is desire to win, if i were a pro and in the playoffs, going to mexico would be a freaking joke, taking a vacation is a freaking joke. When i heard wade say he went there to get his mind off football i laughed out loud at the TV, who the hell wants to gets their mind off the biggest game of their life, i'd be working with recievers, watching film over and over and over, heck id be parying or somthing, but a vacation is the last thing i would do, if i were a cowboy fan id have been freaking insulted!!!

And as of right now, he's a better QB than either Schaub or Rosenfels.

i strongly disagree......

he is good at making somthing out of nothing, and thats all that happened when they snapped him the ball....nothing... so he made somthing out of it. He is not a normal quarter back, he cant stand in calmly and deliver, the cowboys would have dont alot better handing it to babrber than letting romo scramble out of the pocket becasue he couldnt find a reciever in the normal 3-4 seconds. He Sucks, cant even hold a snap....

if i were a cowboy fan id be callin to draft a new qb, but im not so ill enjoy watching him blow it for one more year untill jerry steps in....

Dude thats just pure hate right there.

Maybe you do believe that Schaub & Sage are better than Romo, but personally, I would trade either of them for Romo.

You can say that the giants D stepped up all you want, but the reality is tony couldnt get it down the field AT ALL in the 4th, HE BLEW IT. Id also credit your new 3 million dollar man for the loss as well, Barber is the best player on the cowboys and he got chafted in the 4th, as well as most of the year.

actually i heard him interview on the jungle earlier this year and it actually made me like the cowboys a bit, but then i watched them finish the season and the game against the Giants and he showed his colors(along with the mexico skit)....

im open to thinking maybe the O coordinator helped, but yall just gave him 3 mill...sooo:thinking:

Tony Romo's stats this past season:

335/520; 64.4% completion; 4211 yards 36 TDs 19 INTs

Schaub's and Rosenfel's combined stats

346/529; 65% completion; 3925 yards 24 TDs 21 INTs

Now Schaub can end up being a better QB than Romo, but if I were picking today I would pick Romo over Schuab any day of the week. Including Sunday's

as for that, well i dont think so, i want an NFL groomed QB who knows how to do it in the clutch, and i "think" both our guys can. I would say i know they can but that would be premature seeing as how matt got hurt and it was his first starting season. No Way do i trade these guys, especially for romo.....

Makes sense, its hard for me to make a case for them because i look more at the intangibles, so i wont....

And I still say if Tony Romo had gone with any girl to Mexico that wasn't famous this would be a complete non-issue...nobody would know and nobody would care.

i disagree, If he were a texan and even went by himself id be pissed!!!
