Not bad but i think that Jamal Charles should have been in the top 5 running backs and you guys should take Antoine Cason out because he is going back to Arizona for his senior season.

I've seen a lot of people writing this. Cason went back for his senior season last year. He's a senior this year...he's in the draft.

It's gotta be tough filling that 5th spot for the RB's this year- Johnson/Charles/Rice...the list goes on!

Cason is a senior.

I have Charles at #6 for RB, followed by Rice, Hart, Kevin Smith, & Forte.

My list will most certainly change at least a little bit after the Senior Bowl & Combine.

I agree with the spot for Martellus. If we had used him more in our offense I have no doubt that he could have easily been #1 and a lock for the first round.

What about Red Bryant, DL? I coulda sworn he was entering the draft.

I would be very upset if we drafted Charles over either Rice or Hart. I just don't understand what people see in him, other than being from UT.

I have Bryant #6. Right behind Okam.

Could be his amazing speed.

Or his great vision.

Or his ability to hit the hole fast.

Or the fact that he added 10 pounds before the season & ran with A LOT more power than he did his first two seasons.

Fans love speed in the backfield, and Charles has that covered.

I like the Hester kid at fullback. He would give us a tweener HB/FB. If we are gonna have 2, might as well have one who can do things in the passing game too. Cook and Leech are awful recievers and ball handlers.

Cook gets such a bad rap for those two fumbles last year. He is a pretty good receiver out of the backfield. Better than Leach at least.

I do like Hester though.

looks pretty darn good to me :thumbup

keeping an eye on cb Tracy Porter, needs to get stronger/physical to compete & play with more confidence but he has press cover skills, fluid hips & hand position/placment without drawing flags.

I would also note another Indiana player, WR James Hardy. I feel he is a top 5 WR, and a potential #1 type WR.

Cook could easily be replaced, not sure on his contract status or cap hit however. I like Hester too, on the negative side to draft him you might have to spend that valueable 3rd pick. Is it just me or does anyone else think the Texans will wait til the 6th/7th rd before taking a tough inside, downhill back? anyone else impressed with the back from USC, Chauncey Washington 5-11 1/2 215-220? looks like a perfect fit for the Texans & they can use the 3rd rd. pick on a corner to develop like DeJuan Tribble who looks like he will slip to the 3rd rd.

Could just be that fumbles...alot.

Does not run between the tackles that well...still. Better for sure, but still not great.

Isn't the best at picking up the blitz

Charles will get his shot and might just make a lot out of it; but to act ;ike he is without faults is a bit much. Add to that, that this is an absolutly stufffed draft class at RB.

Charles may very well jump in the rankings if he throws down a monster 40 time at the combine, but till then he will not get the attention you think he deserves.

I admit I am one of the few people who thinks Limas Sweed is overrated, I have not seen anything that would put him in the top 5 WR this year. also I think you have TE John Carlson to low. Yes, he did not do much this past year but he really did not have anyone throwing to him and he spent a lot of time having to block because of poor oline play. I think he the #1 or #2 TE in the draft. Having a little biased because of my feelings for ND. I am not sure whoI would put at #1 Rucker or Carlson, I loved watching Rucker in the bowl game he was very impressive.

If you read other threads then you would see that I have mentioned some faults that I think Charles has.

I admit that Charles is one of my favorite prospects this year, but I have him going in the second round, hardly a reach, IMO.

I have Porter as the #12 CB right now. There's just too many this year to have an accurate list before the Senior Bowl.

I have Hardy #7 between Devin Thomas & Manningham.

I'm a hardcore UT fan and I'm still not sold on him. I had Early Doucet & Devin Thomas ranked above him but I changed it. Sweed's 40 time will decide where he will go.

TE is gonna be a tough call this year. I feel like Carlson is better than Finley (cuz he cant block for anything), but I think that Finley's incredible athleticism will get him drafted first. I could be wrong.

Surprise, Surprise...
Spec thinks a Longhorn is overrated, and an Irish is underrated, go figure...
Please step out from behind your agenda, so we can see who we're talking to...

kinda J/K, but it IS funny, not to mention predictable from you...

BTW, I don't know enough to have an opinion on Carlson, and don't necessarily disagree with you about Sweed, so take my comments for what they're worth...

where do you have Lavelle Hawkins, Cal? really thought it was a mistake for him to come out early, but he looks ready. a natural #2 WR that seperates from defenders, excellent hands who catches everything & ability to stretch the field. :)

Sweed is overrated. Great measurables and he had a horrible OC at college, but I just question his hands and his focus. If Sweed had good hands and more toughness, he would be Calvin Johnson quality prospect, but he just doesn't have those skills yet. If he has a good Senior Bowl and Pro Day he could shoot up the board though because scouts love his size. I don't see any universe where the Texans would take him at #18. Maybe but doubtful.

I only have my top 12 ranked & he aint on it yet. It's still early though.

Havent seen much of him honestly.

I'm as burnt orange as anyone, but if the Texans take Sweed @ 18 I'll join a freakin monastery...

I wouldn't be too happy either. just resign Andre Davis and hope Jones gets his form back...well be fine.

we need to improve our talent in the secondary at #18...whether CB or S..doesnt matter.

Cason or Phillips would make me smile.

Yea, I think Hawkins goes in the 3-5 area. Depends on how many receivers are taken early.

Good Top 5's. Interesting spots for some of them.

Clady over Long, you think?

I think Xavier Adibi is in one of those categories for Top 5 LBs. He can play inside or out and IMO was the better of the Hall-Adibi tandem.

I'm starting to think Silva is going to sky rocket into the early 2nd round area. He was a play maker this year with 8 INTs, 125 tackles, and a couple of forced fumbles. In 2006 he had 57 tackles and 4 INTs. In 2005 he led the team in tackles with 87 and 1 INT. Even as a freshman he had 43 tackles and a pick. This guy has a nice body of work and some tough intangibles as well.

That's 312 tackles for his career according to a Boston College team site.

If Steward is the 2nd best back (& he may well be) how do some people think he will be at #18? As a possible franchise type back, if he is there, I say go for it and LT in 3rd. I am hoping for CB in FA but if they can get a starter in 4th like Bennett, that may be better.

FS:
1. Kenny Phillips – Miami
2. Reggie Smith – Oklahoma
3. Jonathan Hefney – Tennessee
4. DaJuan Morgan – N.C. St
5. Thomas DeCoud – Cal

I did not want to say this but Demps is on this list. Not sure how high, Smith and Hefney maybe borderline.

( I wanted to dislike Demps, but he is showing coverage skills against the big boys).

I have Clady first because he looks like more of a LT.

Adibi is my #6 OLB, only because of his weight.

Demps is my #6. He could easily jump up on my rankings by the next time I re-rank them.

I would love to have lavell Hawkins if he fell to us in the 4th round that would be awesome but it looks like he may go in the 2nd or 3rd round based off the senior bowl workouts.

for what it's worth...I saw him make a heck of a catch today in practice at the Sr. Bowl. I think it was Flacco that threw it, but really, it was a great catch.

I would be very upset if we drafted Charles over either Rice or Hart. I just don't understand what people see in him, other than being from UT.

He's the second fastest player at Rb on the board? He could be a great pro. and a great value for someone in the third round. RR and Heart both have lot of hits on their bodies. TBS, I wouldn't turn my nose at either one if they fell correctly.

QB_ what I saw today...Flacco is going to rise. Brohm is falling on some boards.

More reason why the Falcon would be bet served to take the mule at Rb befor the QB. there will be some good one falling to their second round pick.

ITYS.....Colt Brennn has a weak arm and will fall like a rock. He has to load up to throw the out (7). Not a good thing. He has to load up twice & hop to throw the deep post and fly.

C- Cody Wallace must have a great turn round if he is going to be drafted. He got lit up today in practice with back to back bull rushes. TBS... So did Ugoh last year...
I don't remember which one it was the maryland kid...he got bent over backwards twice.

CB-
Props to beerlover: McKelvin is the real deal. He has it all speed, smart, instinct....someone will have to teach him how to catch the ball though....hands of brick.

Agreed: I think he is way over rated. He has the WCO body though and is fast. Anyone taking him the first day, round one and two will be making a mistake if they are not patient with him. He's raw. And I'm guesing he's not going to come around untill the back end of his rookie contract.

I've been thinking for a while now that Hardy and Nelson would be better options for the titans than the speedster from LSU or Sweed. That would allow them to bang the Cb as beerlover has suggested with their first round pick. As long as there is a problem with Sweed's wrist he's going to fall.

I think Andre "Buba" Caldwell is also a guy moving up. He's short , but at 210 he isn't exactly a smurf. Short, but stout. Going to be interesting to see where all of the smurfs fall. There is a herd of them this year. But Dexter Jackson and the Hawkins kid are good also. The guys flying under the radar right now are Monk from Arkansas, And the trips from Virgina Tech. VT guys are great athletes. Someone will take a flyer on them if they run what I think they will run at the combine. Lots of reciever tallent this year. The hardest part is sorting them all out.

I think Cason is being really underrated as of lately. Everyone is saying 4.5 40-yard dash, no way he's a 1st rounder---he's a 2nd rounder.

I think we'll be looking at the #3 rated CB (2 get drafted before us at least).

I think come the draft I would be pleased taking Antoine Cason in the 1st and Tashard Choice in the 3rd. I then let Gibbs work his magic the rest of the draft- looking at OL pretty much rounds 4-7!!
