Super Bowl Ad:Salaam

Wolf

100% Texan
Make sure you check out the Super Bowl ads on NFL.com. Texans left tackle Ephraim Salaam is a finalist. After dozens of players made 30-second ads for NFL.com, it has been narrowed down to nine finalists. Salaam represents the entire AFC South. He tells the story of how he met Chester Pitts bagging groceries and encouraged him to walk-on at San Diego State.

Salaam has some touch competition, though. It's pretty entertaining though, and there are no better story tellers in the Texans locker room than Salaam. The highest vote getter will have their 30-second spot become the NFL's ad during the Super Bowl. Fans can vote eight times a day.

I thought it was Kyle Turley that met Pitts not Salaam?

I am looking at NFL.com for the video but haven't found it yet

also i thought a link to the ads was posted but in my search I didn't find it :(

Pitts's development is stunning in light of his background. His high school in Los Angeles didn't have a football team, and he walked on at San Diego State in 1998 (on the advice of Aztecs tackle Kyle Turley, now with the Rams). Last season Pitts played in as many games (21, including five exhibitions) as he did in his college career. "They threw me into a pot of boiling water, but I took it as a compliment," he says. "They knew I'd fight and I wouldn't quit."

I don't know maybe salaam was in on it too?

I didn't even see those, Jacoby Jones is pretty funny. "No sir, I will not be bothering you today".
Shawne Merirman looked me in the eye and said "you going to crack block me" and I said ""No sir, I will not be bothering you today"
that is funny, If it quote wouldn't be so long, that would be signature LOL

Sorry to get off topic but just wondering if the voting for Kris B. is over. If so, who won?

Thanks for putting the link to all the videos.

Hey! Travis Johnson mentioned signing my sister's hat.

I guess he read my story later on about how much it meant to both my sister and me. I'll have to send her the link.

We are happy for you TC. Now, does anyone know who won the voting. You guys usually find things out fast.Did our KB win?:fans: :fans:

That's funny, I'd heard the story about Plaxico Burress during his rookie year spiking a live ball after a catch, but never knew Danny Clark, who was also a rookie, recovered the fumble.
Apparently, Plaxico thought he was down when he touched the ground, like in college ball, even though he was never touched by a defender, so he popped up and spiked the ball, which was still live...

I remember the play. It was hilarious. Berman and Jackson had a field day with it on Prime Time back in the day.
