Titans Game..

I've been and have to say it was an OK experience. Nothing great. Most TItan fans we tailgated with were great, very hospitable, and took very good care of us. BUT, the fans in the stadium were another story, not so much fun there. I've been once, and never had the desire to go back.

Been to Indy also, and will definitely go back once they get their new stadium built.

I have had seats very low mid-field and very high seats. The stadium reminds me of a college stadium. I have never had issues with the fans.

Where'd you sit at the game, SheTexan?

End zone, midway up, lower level.

When I visit opposing teams stadiums I am pretty laid back. I make a point to visit with fans around me, be as friendly as possible, have a positive response about their football team when they beat the crap out of us. THere were only a few Titan fans who made my experience a bad one, but, I expected that. It will always be that way when you visit someone elses house. I guess just being a diehard Oiler fan and being in Bud's place just didn't sit well with me. Brought back to many memories.

Sorry to hear that. The end zones have been the worst about that kind of stuff from my experiences at LP. But you're right, it should be kind of expected. I went to Cincy yesterday and sat in front of about four younger guys who were dropping F-bombs left and right throughout the game (and of course the Bengals won in a blowout). I couldn't believe it. But what can you do.

I went to the Natti a few years back.... The Bungles fans thought it would be funny if they pelted a buddy of mine and me in the back of the head with ice cubes.

Thats BS, we didn't have that kind of problem. Overrall I enjoyed the trip, though. Nice city and stadium.

I had an awesome time there. My buddy used to bartend there years ago. His old boss, that owns about 5 sports bars in Cincy area and Covington put us up in a hotel right across the river - (looking directly at the stadium) and was within walking distance of one of his bars. He also gave up 3 of his 8 seats for us - which were first row, right by the tunnel that the visiting team enters/ exits the field from (this is where I scored Jamie Sharper's glove). Also, our money was no good there.

With that said, and his great hospotality, he and his people were very dissappointed in the way that we were treated.

There are lot's of bars up, down and around 2nd Avenue. A few clubs (never been to them, not my thing). If you like country music I suggest hitting some spots along Broadway. As for a hotel, that depends how much you are willing to spend. There is a Sheraton about 5 blocks from the river and is an easy walk. If you want to do a little "tailgating" or pre-game entertainment the Wildhorse Saloon has a little gig that is always fun. They even have a shuttle running to LP starting around 11am or so if you don't want to make the walk.

For any of you Texans fans coming to Nashville... I would like to extend an invite to the official TOMB tailgate.

You all have always traveled well and have been good fans in our house !

Directions to the tailgate will be posted at the TOMB in the parking lot forum.

All who are coming to Tennessee... have a safe trip and hope to see ya at the tailgate.

Go Titans !

Is it good to stay downtown? What is thier to do Saterday in Nashville?

We were just there a month ago and had a ball. There is not a problem fi8nding something to do downtown on ANY night, much less on Saturday night. They have a nice stadium. Not saying much coming from a Raider fan, ours is a dump. There is a Best Western downtown that doesn't cost too much. Or the Sheraton which is more $$$. Anyway have fun. And whoop some Titan ass.:pirate:

Yes it is good to stay downtown...either the Sheraton or the Rennaissance Hotels in my opinion.

On Saturday, party downtown. There are several bars to go to. I think one night the Texans are hosting something either Friday or Saturday downtown.

I will be there with Bronco Billy, Derick, Andy, Harvey and Buzz. We will be out saturday night and will probably start at Baileys. The TOMB tailgate is very nice but you have to drink that baby blue koolaid, HA HA. Really I have been all over the town tailgating and Have yet to find anyone who was not thankful for the Team, So in the best Bull Pen Andy voice i turn around and tell them "Thank You and I am Sorry, Sorry you got stuck with Bud but thanks for taking him from me." Tennessee is a great time and should be a 1st choice in away games. They are a division foe and it is so wonderful to beat Tennessee in Tennessee.
