History with signing injured players

I've never seen anything on this but how have the Texans done with players signed who were coming off an injury or have a history of being injured. Have we got money worth on any? I am not talking about players who are hurt after we sign them unless we resigned them after an injury such as Davis. I know individuals have been discussed but what about a list of all and how they performed?

And now, an extra special double stanza haiku dedicated to players who just never quite made it back on to the field for whatever reason.

Boselli, DD,
and Ahman have all feasted
at Houston's expense.

"Please! Not one more gimp!
More of this we can't withstand!"
Houston fans cry out....

Before you say that you should look at cleveland's attempt to fill the LT position. Its as injury plagued as ours if not worse.

It looks as if though they've finally found their solution at LT with Joe Thomas. If only the Texans would invest a high pick in a LT as well... :hmmm:

How about injuries PERIOD! Drafted, undrafted, free agents, trades, etc...... its just bad luck all the way around.

I hate your haikus
so why do you keep writing
them if they're evil? :bat:

This is a rough league and careers are short....all teams have these issues and it's just another reason why you have to be a deep team to win in this league.

And it seems as though the Colts are going to try to prove your point by having a major starter on every unit on the team get hurt.

I really think that the Texans are not signing the right kind of players in free agency. Old, prior injury histories, or just positions that usually never see good players leave to FA (Offensive lineman pretty much), never seem to work out. I think that really the Texans should just try to minimize FA acquisitions, and try to grow their team through the draft. Getting a few key positions in FA (DB seems to have a few good players coming out in FA) and just using their pretty good drafting skills* seems to be like a good recipe for me.

*The drafting skills I talk about apply only to the '06 and '07 drafts.

If it frustrates you,
causes angst, gas, or madness....
then my job is done!

Honestly, I'm not sure why I keep writing them. Why do you keep protesting in haiku format? Maybe if you want to protest, do it in a limerick or something.
