man... at first i was looking at the uniforms thinking, man, that's just liberty white... but then i saw the stahlhelms...

Yeah, I'm getting a little tired of hearing these sportstalk people asking "what's wrong with the Texans, and don't say injuries, every team has injuries, blah, blah, blah." Um, sorry sportstalk dweeb, but it is injuries.

If the Patriots were missing the same caliber of players at the same positions the Texans are, they wouldn't be anywhere close to being undefeated.

If Brady missed a couple of games (Schaub), if Moss (AJ) was out 7 games, Welker (Jacoby), Maroney (Green), Morris (Chris Taylor), Faulk (Dayne), Hobbs (Mathis), Koppen (McKinney), Matt Light (Spencer) and now Asante Samuel (Dunta), people would be asking what happened to the Patriots. Same with the Colts missing Peyton for 2 games, Harrison 7, Addai, Keith, and whoever their 3rd back is, Saturday and so on. Yeah, the Colts have been without Harrison and at times Addai, but nothing near what the Texans are dealing with. If the Cowboys didn't have Romo, Julius Jones, Barber, Thompson, TO, Crayton, Flozell, and so on.

Whether you're of the don't use injuries as an excuse camp or not, it doesn't change the fact that they can devastate your team and season.

Well said. In fact, given the extent of our injuries, I am surprised that we have played as well as we have. I certainly wouldn't have expected us to beat a Raiders team that is great at defending the pass (then again, I wouldn't have expect Ron Dayne to have run for 122 yards and a TD...even against one of the bottom 3 run defenses). There isn't a doubt in my mind that things will be looking up upon the return of Johnson and Schaub.

I will say this though, I don't think that we should stick with Green. He is injured every other game! Give the bulk to Echemandu, if only to see what he can do, put Green at the back up role and Dayne at third. If Walker proves to be worthy of a place on the roster, let him compete with Dayne for the third back spot. It may sound harsh, but I never look forward to Green's return to the starting back position...I wasn't excited about him when he was signed. It would be great to have a starting RB who can play a majority of the time, and produce while he's at it. So long as Green has the number 1 spot, it's going to be nothing but a revolving door of RBs for us. I would like to see him moved permanently to the number 2 RB spot.

Whatever it takes to bring attention to our little corner of the world here on TexansTalk.com. Nice work, Steph! (and you're welcome) :specnatz:

Thought you'd appreciate it. I was in the process of writing that particular deal, and couldn't think of a better picture. And I do like pointing peoples in this direction.

yep, just look at the Colts. They are not as dominant when so many are injured. Imagine that.
