What got into the OL

Honoring Earl 34

Something Witty !
Are the Raiders that bad or did bringing up Brandaon Frye , playing White , and talking about playing Studdard light a fire under the vets butt .

yea, what were they like 31st in the league in rush d? it was nice to see daynetrain doing what he was drafted to do, but it would be nicer if it wasn't against a terrible team...

Who if anybody saw some playing time yesterday besides the usual starting
group of Salaam, Pitts, Flanagan, Weary, & Winston ?

Oakland's DL wasn't playing at 100% due to injuries + they have one of the poorest Run D's in the league (secondary is GOOD).

I think its a combination of Oaklands DL not being that good and our OL playing with more of a fire.

The think all week was how lame and soft our team is. Because the D hasn't been hitting hard or doing crap and our guys let our star QB get beat up 2 games in a row, how pathetic that was. I think our whole team was pissed off the entire week and came out with guns-a-blazing. Our Defense hit harder than they have all season (esp. Demps) and our OL played with more spunk.

yeah their run defense is that bad.

FYI, Miami's rushing defense is worse than the Raiders. We mustered up a mind-boggling 74 yards against the Dolphins. 15 of those yards came from Walter and Schaub.

This team has yet to show consistancy since the beginning.:pirate:

I was wondering the same thing myself. I know Studdard didn't play because I saw a shot of him on the sideline in street clothes, but I'm not sure about Frye or even White. I don't think either one of them played. I was surprised at how well Flanagan was doing in the run blocking department. I know Oakland's Run Defense is very poor, but that's pretty bad when you make "Old Man" Flanagan look like an All Pro! :laughjump:

Well, the good news is that we can beat other bad teams. Which means we are not the worst of the worst.

The bad news is there aren't a lot of teams in the NFL we can beat. My projection now is maybe, at best, two more wins this season. That puts us at 5-11 which means we are going backwards.

Please, Texans, prove me wrong once again.
