I wasn't at last years game, but based on what you've read and heard leading into this weeks game, should we expect more vy fans to show up in their burnt orange #10's in the numbers they did last year?

Any chance common sense grabs hold of these folks and allows them to let go of the past?

I dont see a problem with Texas fans rooting for VY.

They just need to keep it out of our building.

I cheer for him. I want him to do well....but he plays for the Titans. I hope he catches a beatdown if he plays on Sunday.

I think we will see as many Titans jerseys as we ever have before. And no doubt many of them will be #10.

I've been listening to more sports radio and reading more articles this week than at any time in the season - and the consensus I seem to find is that it will be the same as last season. I'm prepared to be very angry about that while watching the game Sunday. LOL

Don't get mad... Just take notes on who's wearing what. When we start winning the bandwagoners will be obvious.. :specnatz:

The guy in front of me says he's going to wear a Vince jersey but root for the Texans still. What the hell is up with that? If I were 21 I'd make sure to "accidentally" spill beer on his oh-so-nice jersey.

Vince Young is the enemy who disrespected the Texans by saying this is my house last year. Well Vince

THIS IS MY HOUSE

and you will be lucky to leave in one piece

I don't know if they are clinging to the past so much. They just like Vince.
If McNair and Kubiak did not foresee this happening, they are morons.
What I don't get, and really cannot understand is Houston people that root for Tennessee. I just don't get it.
The minute the NFL announced Houston would get a franchise, the Texans were my team. We've seen them grow from the ground up.
Heck, I even rooted for the Titans in their Super Bowl, but now I could care less.

i would've actually thought he would be unlucky if he didnt leave your house in one piece :)

i love it when fans act like they're going to hurt a player eventhough everyone knows if they ever actually tried to do anything to an nfl player they'd end leaving the field like trent green :specnatz:

BS... I will knock Rob Bironis the **** out!!!

There are a LOT of UT fans in Houston that like Vince. They were never Texans fans. But they like to say "I would have been a Texans fan if they drafted VY" (I have UT grad friends who say this).

No, they would still just be VY fans.

Here are my feelings on the Vince Young jersey matter:

1) This is America

2) It's just a football game

I hope the worst thing that happens to me this year is that I see a VY jersey at the Texans/Titans game at Reliant.

Bite your tongue! You act as if we are non-participants in the game!....oh wait....

Seinfeld said it best: "They won, we watched!"

Damn It our cheering helps and our booing hurts.

If you think other wise you need to be reindoctirned into our way of thinking.

There's a problem when it seems 65% of the fans are wearing VY jerseys, 10% Other Titans jerseys, 4% "omg, they're not even playing the Texans today" jerseys, and the rest Texans.

I really wish that were the case...but too many 3rd and longs that our defense failed to stop for me to believe that mediocre defenses are inspired by crowd support.

Homefield advantage requires a good team to start with, because otherwise it's just us yelling without any positive results.

I still do it every game, though. :fans:

I'll repeat: I hope that is the biggest problem I have this year.

No one is saying it is more important than the rest of their lifes (spouses, children, careers), but to be passionate about something...anything, in your life is pretty valuable IMO.

I guess the only time I get passionate about clothing is when I'm watching Project Runway. :shades:

I know I was kidding, hell I do not think my yelling helps all the way from Austin but ya know what I still do it and will continue to do it.

Fan...short for fanatic..as in you cheer for your team and hate the team your playing against, and that goes for all the players on the opposing team as well.

You can respect them afterwards but in the middle of the heat of the game, hate their guts!

It makes me sick to see all these opposing teams jerseys in Reliant,a nd to have witnessed the scene at the end of last years ot loss to the titans,it was pathetic display of a 'home team crowd'
One of these days, when the Texans are consistent front runners, these idiots with their vy man-love will wanna be Texans fans, you know what, I say ley them join us. It's all about the Team. But if any of these johnny come latelys start to badmouth our Texans when the seas are a little rough, then it's off with their heads!

Go Texans
screw the titans they aren't our Oilers no more.

Amen.. preach it...

I almost threw my beverage at my big screen when I saw Texans fans patting that guy in a Titan jesey on the back. It was hard especially when that guy just beat the Texans. Made me sick. You would never see a Spur fan patting Nowinzki (misspelled dirk's last name on purpose) on the back after they beat us. Or Shaq after the .04 game after we got our hearts ripped out. Those fans that patted VY young on the back while wearing Texans jersies should have their tickets revoked. Gutless.

I'm a VY fan. Have been for a very long time but whenever he plays the Texans he's the enemy. What he did last year here in Houston was heartbreaking but hopefully this year we'll return the favor.

Peanut shells tend to accidentally fall down the back of the jersey in front of you. They are cheaper than beer and very itchy later, I hope.

as long as its titans fan first and vy second its ok, but yes the burnt orange should stay in the closet on sundays......

I'm very tempted to wear my "Book 'em Horns" shirt tomorrow. I don't want to make the crowd look even more Pro-Texas. It's burnt orange and only a certain number of people will probably actually read the shirt. Hmmm
