Cardinals | Moses released - from www.KFFL.com

The Sports Network reports the Arizona Cardinals released DL Quentin Moses Tuesday, Oct. 16. Moses was released to make room on the roster for QB Tim Hasselbeck.

Damn, that's really sad. He's nearing all-time bust status.

I didn't mean he was "the" biggest bust, just that he's about to be on the list.

Ah.... then, yeah. I'd say you're on target.

And as far as Peyton v. Leaf, there was a lot of discussion regarding which one of them was going to go first. But I suppose you're right - Indianapolis chose wisely.

Supposed to be the best. Undeniably the best but turned out to be a turd... maybe Tony Mandarich?

based on pre-draft hype and who the Packers passed up by taking him, Tony Mandarich is the obvious choise for biggest bust. missed up on Barry Sanders and Deion Sanders. it's not like the Chargers had to choose between Leaf and Manning. Mandarich was supposed to be the best o-lineman of all TIME.

Why not us?

The risk is low, he could be signed to the PS and see if somehow one of the coaches can get through to him; and he has the talent.

But then again it probably won't happen.

There was a rumor that the Raiders cut Moses by accident but I have hard time believing that...but then again it is the Raiders.

he's more of a stand up tweener than a DE...he can't hold up to NFL OT's and I hear he just isn't that strong...other than the lazy rumors.

This is a shot in the dark, but at 6'4" and 250'ish any chance he might be able to play the SAM LB spot? I would think that he would have issues in coverage, but should be ok around the line of scrimmage, espically playing behind a 4 man front.

Just a random, not likely to happen, I'm bored thought.

Parts of that sound eerily similar to some of our current players. (No I'm not a MW basher either)

Sounds more like Babin then Mario.

I was just saying that it seems like most of the "DEs" we draft have some or all of those descriptions - not a shot at MW, though some did label him lazy at some point. Babin, Peek and well the rest of our 3-4 OLBs from years passed.

I think if you factor in the talent taken after him, Courtney Brown has to be the all time bust

Arrington
Urlacher
Jamal Lewis
Shaun Alexander
Julian Peterson

Brutal pick

Combine that with the Gerrard Warren pick the following year, and you have the worst back to back picks in NFL history:

LDT
Richard Seymor
Marcus Stroud
Steve Hutchinson
Clements
Duece
Dan Morgan
Todd Heap
Reggie Wayne

In 1999, the Tim Couch debacle started it all
McNabb
Rickey (if he stayed off Pot)
Edge James
The Freak
Champ Bailey
Kerney

And Cleveland fans collectively let out a whimper...
