Kris Brown was amazing!!!

To do what he did healthy would be impressive, to do what he did injured is legendary.

That was by far the best performance I have ever seen by a kicker, Kris Brown can keep his job this year!!! I've already forgotten about that nasty rumor of him missing a FG at the 1 yard line last week :splits:

Someone from another forum told me that the Steelers used to run Kris Brown on the scout team as a wide receiver when he was their kicker. Does anyone know if this is true?

The legend continues...

I thought Kris Brown sucked?!?! I remember a thread where people were especially critical of Brown.. What say you, you nay sayers??

Joker, I bet there is a little birdie on this board that can confirm or deny that rumor..

So, I had to fill in for my bye-week kicker, so I pick up Kris Brown.

My friends would turn to me after every FG and ask what sort of deal I made with the devil. Who randomly picks up Kris Brown? I couldn't even watch the 57 yarder...I put my head down on the table and just listened to the reaction of the crowd at BW3.

Me, the perennial FFB loser in our league for 5 years now, is on the verge of 5-0.

It may have been an "ugly" win for the Texans this week, but you LOVE watching a guy like Kris Brown have a career day. He gets to be a hero for a day or so.

I admit - I was a nay sayer. Keep proving me wrong. I enjoy crow with a large serving on winning. Good Job Kris.

Glad to see him get some love after really one of the best kicker peformances I think I've ever seen. i mean54,54, and a 57 to win the game! That's just out of your mind.

Kris Brown has scored 50 points already this season. that puts him in a tie with vinatieri as the highest scoring individual in the nfl per this link. his kicks were 54, 43, 54, 20, and 57 yards. the total yardage is pointless, but if you add them all up that's 228 yards. that's 45, almost 46 yards per kick... a good weapon for a coach to have.

It's nice to have a guy that can salvage a game when your offence can't get into the endzone. I hate to say it but his services might be needed this week again. So heres the question...

can lightning strike twice??

I hate to be the naysayer, but Kris Brown had an amazing day. No doubt. But he is terribly inconsistent. He'll make some big kicks... and then turn around and miss several in a game. He is what he is.

Mike

Your always the naysayer so why would that change now?

Kris has done things we have all shaken our head at, but give the guy one week at least; after what he did last Sunday. He deserves it and has earned it!!

Isn't Texanmike is the same guy who gave Schab a D- for leading the team to 350+ yards of total offense while missing 4 starters and all their top skill guys, AND leading the team to a last minute drive to win the game last week?

You would be correct sir.

Can Kris relive the magic again today ir will he wear the goat label for a week? Good Luck!
