(straight off of http://www.nfl.com/players/davidcarr...85&season=2006)

During this time Carr had the HIGHEST passer rating in the NFL. Higher than Matt Schuab, Higher than Jake Delhomme, Higher than Tom Brady, Higher than maybe like Peyton Manning maybe?

0 INT's, 40/53, 4 TD's, and 427 yards passing. Those are VERY nice stats and as you can see from the link he kept going pretty good for 2 more games, playing 2 crappy teams in Washington (6th Overall Pick last year) and Miami (9th Overall Pick last year.)

2 INT's, 41/58, 3 TD's, and 438 yards passing. So he's having a good year up to this point then he runs into a wall when he plays the Cowboys and only throws for 4 MORE TD'S AND 10 MORE INT'S.

Thats why I was shocked at his performance vs. the Bucs but to be fair it was his first start with the Panthers and the Bucs came ready to play. I'm not saying that he is going to be awesome but he was starting out really well until Spencer went down. A lot of it was the Defense couldn't stop anything and who asks a QB with his first career start with a team to throw 41 times? I think he will have a much better outing against the Saints (if for no other reason than The Saints D sucks) but don't let those Texans fans fool you, he started 06 out well and I was excited for one, but yeah thats what happens.

Seems to me against good teams with good teams he struggled and when the Defense's were on the level of his offensive line he was effective. Let's just face it the Bucs came to play, we need to get that fire back and stick it to them.

LOL. He hasn't changed. At least he is now admitting his brother is not going to be "awesome".

I am oh so glad that His Royal Delusion is no longer on our boards. Reality challenged people get annoying, especially when they choose to be that way.

At least he's consistent with his take that "it's never David Carr's fault!".

Didn't Spencer go do down early in the 1st half against the Colts and Carr got all his stats, particularly QB rating, late in the 4th quarter?

Talk about sticking your head in the sand...

This guy is bragging about a team that got routed and his bro getting junk time in prevent and pointing to that as some end all to show that Carr has some type of skill at all. Just side steps the 7.7 YPC number I guess ....

I would have loved for this guy to step into the smack arena .... :bat:

The game went down the drain against the Colts because Carr kept fumbling in the 1sr quarter .

That's how we got so far behind and it does'nt show on the stat line .

Even those stats aren't that impressive. He was sacked 9 times for -65 yards and fumbled three times. And as it was pointed out in this thread, all of his touchdowns came in the fourth quarter where it was 30-3.

That doesn't look like a Hulk post. The grammer and spelling don't match up to what we are used to. Maybe he's relaxed a little.

That HOU-TEX guy pissed me off, I was watching "Texans Cam" on the NFLN for ****s and giggles. They interviewed Matt Schaub and he said that the O-line was going to be "one of there strengths." I thought he was suppose to be smarter than Carr? I mean can we get a link on this thats a pretty absurd statement when the only new linemen from last year is Jordan Black and some 6th round pick. I hope we slam them Week 2!

Carr isn't here anymore and neither is Hulk75 so I could really care less.

I do have to admit that I'm morbidly fascinated. Can't stop looking so would someone just PM him and get it over with so I can move on with my life?

Perhaps I will have the energy to comment if I can ever stop laughing.

Oh, major props for the loyalty!:shades:

What would be even funnier is if Ibar Harry shows up over there and tries to convince everyone that John Fox is an ***** for not allowing Carr to call all the plays.

One big change, he didn't throw any Panther players under the bus.

He is slowly coming to reality.

That's how I take it.

He starts off slow. Right now Carr is still in the honeymoon phase with the Panthers. The fans still say to themselves "It's just one bad game...he'll get better. Our team just wasn't ready to play." Then after a few more weeks of bad games some posters start asking questions. "Why didn't Carr throw it to Smith he was one on one with the CB?" "Why didn't Carr attack the middle of the field of the Cover 2?" That's when the Hulkster starts to throw other players & coaches under the bus to try & distract the masses. That's when he'll say stuff like: "Smith is a good receiver no doubt, but he's got hands of stone. Carr can't trust him" "John Fox obviously has no idea what he's doing out there. He's calling in all the wrong plays" and finally "The O-Line is the problem. You've got to surround Carr with some better talent upfront & it wouldn't hurt to give him another all-pro receiver to throw to, and maybe a tightend, and a running back."

That's about the time that everyone comes to the realization that Carr is the problem. Alas it is too late. John Fox joins the FCCC (Former Coaches of Carr Club) as they meet every Wednesday at the Krispy Kreme to search the want adds for a head coaching position. Carr will be released & signed as a 3rd string QB somewhere & that team's board will have a new member join from Texas who's super excited to have such a great 3rd string QB like Carr. The cycle continues.

Based on the thread that I read, the honeymoon didn't last through the weekend.

Now THAT'S comedy!!

Not defendding Carr here but...if Hulk75 was his brother...would you really expect him to bash his brother? Of course he would be defensive...its human nature.

Yeah... Like Mama Vick saying, "My baby ain't no criminal!"

Even though he pled guilty to bankrolling a gambling operation.

I would expect him not to come on message boards and blame everyone but Carr for our previous QB’s horrible play. If your brother sucks, don’t logon to our message boards, piss in our ears then tell us it is raining.

The excuses were endless with Hulk and all of his californian buddies.

I'd bash my own brother if he was Carr. I know this. I wouldn't let anyone physically attack him but if he's sucking at his job... it's a whole new ballgame.

I tell my brother he sucks all the time, I just do not want to hear anyone else say it. So do not go to a message board where you know they will be bashing him.

There is a difference from smacking your bro upside the head at a picnic and telling him he sucks vs. going on a public board and calling him a chump. HUGE difference IMO.

Plus image how many time he has got to wing man Carr at all those gay clubs. :specnatz:

As a brother I'd stick up for my own brother but I'd also wouldn't be a massive douche regarding the team or the downfalls of the team. That was his goal.

for so long I didn't even realize that was his bro. i just remember he was one of the more fervent Carr zealots. It was nice seeing Carr admit that he had an abominable game v. the Bucs. Did anyone actually expect anything less? I actually think I heard him say 'fun' in one of the interviews though. If I was his OC I would not allow him to utter the word 'fun' until he pulled his head out of his arse....but such is Carr.

It really ticked me off when the one announcer mentioned that Carr can't seem to throw over the middle of the field. I had never heard that actually critiqued during his time here with the Texans. You would get the occasional comment that he gets a lot of balls batted down, but that was always just about it. The play by play would always counter with the cookie cutter comment 'well its hard to throw the ball when you are always on your back hardeeharhar' At least people aren't blinded by the metromullet anymore.

As for 'Hulk'75...he basically looks like Carr if he went on a life long bender of HGH, Steroids, raw cookie dough, and Twinkies....

Me Hulk, me laugh at that one......

p.s. you know if Schaub would have struggled, little ole Hulk would be over here laughing at all of us. I don't hear anyone laughing now.

Good days are upon us. We have competence at QB. Finally. Thanks Matt.

is there an emoticon for 'victory lap'? :um:

yeah Lance's rant last year was insane and probably had a little to do with the impending implosion of 610 and its talent

hopefully lance is going to make it back. i am trying to listen to 1560TheGame but they really need to get their signal stronger before they worry about getting Lance and John reunited in the morning.
His 'Comrade' takes really helped get me through some of the toughest Monday's and the post draft lamentation

i appreciate him not being an automoton like VanDerhomer or Rich Lord.

if you want a good laugh, go watch the Steve Smith/David Carr NFL network interview and check out Carr's hat.....hilarious. You can tell his Mother or Wife dresses him. Men really don't have that kind of fashion sense unless they are...well, you know, not that there is anything wrong with that. Reading between the lines you can tell that Smith has a very low opinion of Carr.

Does someone have a Texan fan to normal translator ... ? Mine seems broken :tinfoil:

I do agree Carr sucks though. I have several threads started about it and I actually gave a congrat's when you signed Shammy.

Carr then Shammy ... hope from a dirty cloth :hmmm:

I wonder what a Carr interview would sound like if we had a NFL remake of Liar Liar .

McClain ... how was the game ?

Carr ... well ... oooo .... I stink ... I mean the fellows are on the same page but I'm in another book .

McClain .... what do you need to do , in order to get better ?

Carr ... ummm .... well ... I have a better chance of solving the Rubic's cube blindfolded than I do of figuring out the cover 2.

I wish I could give Hulk (Darren) rep for that post. What cajones.

so i googled 'darren carr' and this was one of the first links i saw...

http://www.darrencarr.com/
Actual Quote from the website said:
At the tender age of eight, Darren Carr started playing with dolls and talking to himself. Luckily for him, coming from a show business background, this was not only considered to be quite normal, but actually encouraged.

Darren is now recognized throughout the industry as Australia's Number One Stand Up Ventriloquist

i know it's not the right one, but still... i laughed.

I remember dealing with that guy. I don't think it's Hulk. I was actually thinking it was Derek due to the age and location. Now that I think about it, Derek might be younger than 18.

It might just be a random stalker similar to the ones that used to frequent this board so often.

Eh, it doesn't really matter anymore. :specnatz:

This dude knew what David Carr's favorite song was .

Reading between the lines you can tell that Smith has a very low opinion of Carr.

LOL...you are right....

Smith wasn't exactly glowing when asked about David...

And did you notice how loose his huddle was at the beggining of the clip? He didn't appear to have any authority or command in that huddle...

David Carr's struggles go way beyond the playing field....

If my last name were Carr, I would stay away from football message boards altogether. Hell, I'd even stay away from 'em if my last name were Manning. Somebody's always gonna have something to say.

It's amazing how thin-skinned that relatives of a public figure can be.

If my last name was Carr, I'd stay away from football all together. Every time the name is mentioned it gives me the heeby jeebies. Then I thank the Lord he's no longer a part of this franchise. Well, at least when his cap hit is cleared anyways.:)

THAT is the funniest caption I have EVER read.

Very very nice....thank you for the good belly laugh!

BTW everybody:

There's no way that this original post was made by Hulk75.

1. It shows stats.

2. The spelling is crisp and accurate.

3. It has a logical flow and is easy to read.

Darren's posts NEVER had those attributes, and I doubt he suddenly got smart over night.

I am a Hulk75 expert. That's not Darwin...err, I mean Darren.

The funniest part about that clip is Carr talking about the timing being a little off during a clip of him hurling the ball 15 yards over his receiver's head and then saying "we'll get better". Typical Carr though ... smiling after a loss without a care in the world. Good riddance.
