Hi there friends!

I know the power of prayer and we need it right now. My dad was life flighted to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston last night. He has an aneurysm on his heart. Once at Herman, they found that he also has aerotic dissection. (sp?). He is having surgery at 7:30am this morning. They will have to crack him open, stop his heart, replace the valves with stints and get his heart beating again. My dad is my hero. He has survived so much. He is 60 year old and in great shape (works out every day and eats so healthy) so we are cautiosly optimistic!

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!!

Thank you so much
Kimberly

You got it Sweetie!! Sorry I missed your call last night, didn't pick up my calls until this morning. I'll give ya a call later on today, I know you are busy this morning. We are here!! Just call!

You can always count on my family for prayers.
In fact my mom has a stright line to God, trust me on that one!

You know you have a great support system here!!!

Laura and I just put your Dad and the rest of your family in our prayers as well. Please let us know how he's doing.

God Bless you and yours...

Kimberly, like everyone has said you have our total support and your father is in my prayers...check your e-mail!!!

I hope everything goes smoothly with his surgery and that he has a speedy recovery. I will definitely pray for y'all. Keep us posted!

My thoughts and prayers are with your dad and you while going through such a time as this. If you need anything just ask and I will drop everything.

An update from Kimberly for everyone:heart:

Thank you for all your prayers. Dad is doing really well. He is in ICU and will be in ICU for the next 4 or so days. (Depending upon how everything goes!). He will probably be in the hospital for at least 10 days after that.

I will keep you updated!!

LOVE YA!
Kimberly

Check your email... No not your PM - your email...

Thanks for the update.

I and my family will continue to pray for a full recovery, as well as for God to use this incident to draw your family closer together and to Him.

God Bless...

Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and prayers.

He is doing awesome!! My dad surely is a hero!! He came through surgery with flying colors. He will have to have more surgery as he has abdominal dissection. (This was what killed John Ritter..the heart part that he had fixed!!)

They are saying he should get out of CCU either today or tomorrow. Amazing considering what a serious surgery he had!! I am so lucky and blessed.

A litte about my dad...(just cuz I love him so darn much)...he was born in Houston 60 years ago. His parents owned a BBQ restaurant on West 34th Street. They were recent immigrants from Germany. Just after high school, dad was drafted into Vietnam. He was attending UH but didn't fight the draft. He was 1st Cav infantry and was one of two people who came home from his platoon. He has a purple heart that he never even talks about.
Dad is an engineer who has worked in the oil and gas industry since graduating from UH. He is a HARD worker and strong man. Thank goodness he eats healthy and works out every day of his life!!
Now y'all need to pray for my mom as Dad will never be able to lift anything heavy again (over 10lbs) and he can't drive for a few months! He is going to be a tough one to hold down!!!

Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers. They meant the world to my family! I love all you guys!!!!

Special thanks to Grandma, Marcie and Bill...love y'all so much. Thanks for being my friend!
