OU just lost, it looks like Texas is going to lose. So much for a great matchup next weekend.

BTW, if you're a young OU fan and start crying after a loss, you better run to the bathroom before you get caught on TV. Actually, if you're the parent you need to either stop the kid from crying or take him out of the stands. They just caught another young kid with OU painted on his face balling during the postgame show and you know that poor kid is going to be posted all over the internet like the last one was.

I am working today so cannot view the UT game, but Colt's stats look great.

I have never been a fan of that kid as a QB to take us to a championship. He was more ready than Snead last year, but I thought it was quite obvious who would scale better over four years. I really hate Greg Davis.

Turnovers are killing the Horns right now. Colt has thrown at least 2 INTs that turned into TDs.

The Big12 top teams has been pretty disappointing so far...I'm busy watching some SEC ball or in other words....real big time College football....Bama vs Florida State

Can anyone comment on McCoy's 3 intreceptions? Were they tips, just bad throws, etc?

The last one was tipped. One he threw right at a lineman or linebacker who was in close who somehow held on and ran it in for a TD. I think the first one was tipped too however I could be wrong. Regardless, McCoy isn't looking too good. He just grossly overthrew a would be 1st down. That just led to a punt return TD that is happening as I am typing this.

K-State just ran a punt back 89 yards for a TD.
And K-State just intercepted Texas.
OU & Texas are so overrated !

Once VY left, Texas went into a little slump. Who is going to be the next great Texas QB? There are probably some playing high school ball right now.

I dunno, any chance that the unbeaten Mizzou Tigers be the first team from the North Division in awhile to win the conference ?

VY was a once in a generation type of player in my opinion. Get Greg Davis out of there and we may actually get quality QB prospects rather than marginal ones that fit a frigged up system.

With Fran on the outs, we need new blood at OC to counter their prospective hire and the bump they will get.

Looking that way from what I hear. If he's out, what's the chance of Kubiak
leaving
here for his alma mater if the opportunity is presented to him ?

Absolutely Zero!!

WOW, I thought McCoy was better than what he has shown and OU and Texas were better than what is being proven.

This has been an upset filled week so far.

Won't happen this time around. That job will always be there for Kubiak, but the potential payday on a second contract could be huge. In fact I would be surprised if that contract were not re-written this year as Kubiak's people leverage the A&M situation. He signed a five year deal for 10 million, which in my opinion is a steal.

I'm so peeved right now. Did you guys now Vegas was handing out money this weekend?I told a group at happy hour yesterday that the UT game was easy money with a 14 1/2 line. UT is overrated and K-state has played them tough traditionally. Too bad I couldn't find anyone to take my cash.

Lets remember that UT is out there with a young O-line. Three of their starters were drafted and they are still learning to gel. I am a HUGE UT fan and I was not expecting a Natl championship run this year. Part of what made UT great the last few years has been solid play from the O-line and the defense. There is a young D and young O-line out there. Also, there was very sloppy play today by the Special teams. you cannot give up 14 points on returns...ever.

That being said Colt also looked pretty bad. He had a ton of passes knocked down. Part of that is due to the Defense getting into his area, but part of it is low passes and staring at your receivers. YKW had this habit, and Mack needs to get Colt to correct it ASAP.

No chance at all. But if Mike Sherman doesn't get an NFL gig, I think he'll be a possibility at A&M.

The Horns looked horrible today. And if I was reading the screen correctly K State wasn't even a ranked team....ugly!

I've been hearing for weeks now that the Sooners were going to stomp all over the Horns.

Wouldn't surprise me!

It's surprising to me...heck, it's SHOCKING to me, that vy being there on the sidelines couldn't "will" his team to a better performance. :whip:

K-State is really pretty dang good. Saw them give Auburn all they could handke "there" earlier this season, and they should have actually won the game but Auburn got some home-field calls that made a difference for them.
But Texas losing by virtually 3 TDs "at Home" is pathetic.
Yea they schedule all those games like with Rice early in their season and then play a real oppopent and get humiliated.
I'm thinking the Sooners are going to humiliate them again in N.Texas this coming weekend.

I suspect the Sooners will come in very angry next weekend and if Colt continues to regress at QB oh brother!

The announcers made the same comment over and over today...he telegraphs virtually every throw.

And the Horns had some very stupid playcalling today...they are behind by 20 and throwing dinky passes to the backs for 2 yard gains. Horrible.

Thats the Greg Davis offense.

The running game consists of the "zone read" in which McCoy gives it every time & a counter from Shotgun that works twice a game.

Unless Greg Davis changes some of the offense, they should just throw Chiles out there to play QB cuz the current offense does not play to Colt's strengths at all.

I was at the game yesterday and it was the first time I've ever left a game early. I couldn't take it after we went for it on 4th down with about 10 minutes left from around the 50 yard line and Colt throws a 2 yard flare pass to the running back who is clearly covered. Colt McCoy's career was ruined from the K-State game last year when he hurt his shoulder, he is a scared QB now. I hear he is questionable for OU which would be great. Sherrod Harris and John Chiles need to play with Greg Davis' stupid offense. I hate how we've used Chiles for a couple plays the last couple games (minus the Rice blowout). And we've only ran that stupid sweep play out of the gun with him. Harris can throw better than Chiles so I say give him more series against OU but give Chiles at least one series a quarter. I've already concieted defeat to OU so might as well get the other two QBs in there to see what they can do in a big game situation.

Greg Davis under used the beast that was Roy Williams and is now under using Limas Sweed. Sweed is 91st in the country in recieving yards. (http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/stats/playersort/NCAAF/WR?&start_row=51) That is unbelievably ridiculous.

Oh yeah, the Aggies are leading the Big XII South and the Red River Shoot-out is a battle of the cellar dwellars. Hell is freezing over.

I haven't seen or heard any indication that Harris is a better thrower than Chiles. If he is then he would probably be the #2 QB.

I expect McCoy to play against OU, but if he doesn't I'm nearly certain that Chiles gets the ball before Harris.

I hate the way they are using Chiles right now tho. They wasted his redshirt against Rice, but they havent used him for anything except QB sweeps.

I can call their plays before the snap just based on formation & down and distance just from watching their games so far. Its pretty obvious by now that the opposing defenses are seeing the same things that I am (duh).

Greg Davis is looking pretty ridiculous right now, still running Vince Young's offense with Colt McCoy. They obviously have totally different skill sets. With Texas' offensive weapons they should be killing the teams they have played so far, but poor offensive line play & terrible play calling have destroyed them.

Don't forget that right before the season started Harris sprained his knee really bad and he is finally rounding back into shape. I'm pretty sure that he would had been the number two QB if he hadnt got hurt. One of my good friends that can name any Texas player, their high school and how they graded out when they were recurited told me that Harris is way more accurate than Chiles but I guess we won't know until those two get a chance.
