I think it's a moral victory for us fans since we are used to going down 14 and that being it, end of game, pack up, who we play next week,

I am happy to hear though that the players don't see it that way.

I think this team has turned the corner and they aren't going to make excuses anymore about anything. They are together as a team and they are going to make every attempt to play hard every week. They are not your daddy's Texans anymore... there is a new team spirit in town and Sheriff Kubiak is instilling a winning attitude (no excuses, just results). It's good to see. They are taking on the attitude of their coach. :texflag:

I posted this in another thread. I think it's Appropriate:

“I’m proud of their effort. But the thing that’s changed around here is that we won’t take any moral victories. We’re here to win. And we’re here to play hard and we expect good results. So I’m proud of those guys and they know that. But that’s not what we’re after. We’re trying to turn this whole program around and be a winner week in and week out.”

Just awesome! To me, it means no more excuses, no more crying, no more whining. It's time to bring Houston a champion!

We would usually be talking about the next draft this time of year.

The best part of the article was this quote from Chester:

"Moral victory is trash," he said. "It's a sin to say that. That was the [old] attitude and mind-set. It wasn't to win the game -- it was to keep it close. I want to call it disgust. We had four or five opportunities to put points on the board."
