Disappointed but not Discouraged

I really wanted us to win this game and it does sting that we didn't. We made too many mistakes and couldn't make the big play on defense.

That being said, I didn't learn anything negative about this team. I already knew that our 3rd string RB wasn't that impressive. I also knew that our safeties are pretty weak in coverage. I also knew that Wayne or Harrison versus Faggins would be a mismatch.

What I learned is that this team doesn't quit, our depth is good, and Schaub is a probowl caliber QB. We need to limp in to Atlanta and take care of business. Then, come home and beat the crap out of Miami. Hopefully by then, at 4-1, we'll start getting our guys back (Andre, Ahman, and Jacoby soon after). We are definitely better than the next couple teams we play and I trust this team to give a good effort- which means we should win!

I agree for the most part...

Just wanted to put out there that our defense held their own... especially in the second half when the offense kept giving the ball back in one or two plays.

If we didn't have the injuries and Matt didn't make a very stupid throw for his second INT it could have been a very different game

I still don't understand why we ran out the clock at the end of the first... just a pansy move IMO.

but we have atlanta and miami coming up... two winable games.

Man Matt is a baller. He forced a throw in the RZ AGAIN but you have to be impressed since he was working with 2nd and 3rd string guys all game and never gave.

We will get ours, our defense is young but they got better as the game went on and sooner rather than later I think they will frustrate some offenses once they really begin to gel.

If we can get a solid Corner and maybe a young RB I see big hopes for us.

I think it's a big mistake counting the game against the Falcons as a win, and the Dolphins game too for that matter.

The injury situation right now is pretty serious, and I'm really concerned about the RB and WR positions.

I know it may seem like symantecs to some, but would someone tell me. Was that a stupid throw or a bad one. I keep seeing it referred to as a stupid throw.. I felt like it was a bad throw. Not thrown high enough and the LB got in there and snagged it. I felt like if the ball was a foot or so higher, it would have been a td. I only saw the replay a few times though and wasn't really in "analytical mode" when I did. Man i wanna get back home to my DVR.

I'm not totally dissapointed but I think the major problem in this game is that the Texans didn't put much pressure on manning until almost the end of the game. He pretty much had all day to throw back there. This is the Kind of game that mario needed to step up. I still think that mario will turn out to be a great player but he needs to work on his consistency and show up for these kind of games. But in the end it's just one game and they need to focus on beating the Falcons with or without AJ and Jacoby.
