Man. I've watched EVERY SINGLE GAME the Texans have played. Until last week. I even brought an old dish, and a reciever to try to get it since I pay for Sunday Ticket. No such luck. Instead I have my mom sit her phone next to the tv and I just listen to the game. Forgive me for not writing in to say I may be wrong.


There I said it. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe this is a 9 win team. We've won one game I didn't think we'd win which puts us at 8-8 by my predictions. There is definately something different about this team. It has an almost "Rocketesque" feeling to it. No loud mouth players (ok other than Mad-max). It is a bunch of "almost" stars. They seem to have a quiet confidence to them that I like. I hope that I can catch the games next week as I have a guy here who may let me put my receiver in his house.

I think we find out alot next week vs the Colts and am really witholding judgment until after that game. If we win that, I think this team is for real. I'll happily eat my crow. Hell if we start 3-0 with a win over the Colts... I'll take a bath in crow.

Nice to see ya again, Mike. I was wondering where you were. I do have to say though that if we lose to the Colts it doesn't necessarily mean we aren't real. It just means we lost to a very good team. I guess it depends on how we lose if we were to lose.

That said...we were underdogs today and dominated and we were the last team to beat the Colts....:texflag:
 
I won't be back in town until Oct. 5th. Until then getting online is kind of hit or miss for me. Today I have time, but tomorrow who knows. Such is ALS I suppose. I really wanted to see the game today too.

I'm not saying that if we lose we're not for real, but so far we've beaten the Chefs and an NFC team. Don't think I don't like them or what they've done. I am just curious to see what they do against a real team.

I consider the Panthers to be a "real" team.

But the Colt's aren't just any old "real" team. They are arguably the best team in football right now. It will be an interesting game.
 
Interesting note; the Texans haven't lost since their last meeting with Indy, and the Texans gave Indy their last loss. Sunday's gonna be a Clash of Titans (no pun intended)!

well ya'll need to enjoy the board space while you have it. When I get back... its more long winded reviews. Think i'm out for about a week. unless that is of course I can't sleep.

I expect the Texans to continue to do well until the bye week. By then, injuries will have settled in, the newness of the season will have passed, and the team will hit the wall...and the hardest teams they face all season. So while I'm happy for the wins, they weren't completely unexpected, and I'm not ready to back off my half-empty predictions. The team still has deep, glaring wounds in the secondary and on the o-line. I expect Indy to cut a swath through Faggins and Von Hutchins because, unlike the myopic Panthers, the Colts have more than one receiving threat.

I think they will do well, key will be how our offense continues to develop, because the more games we play the more game film opposing Defensive coordinators will get to study..offense is a complete 180 from what we have seen, we spread the ball around, qb gets rid of the ball quicker, etc, etc.

Defensively.. ball hawking and I love it.. I hope Bouleware will be improving enough to push for a starting roll at safety...because that means one thing, upgrade of talent in arguably one of our week spots (not to disrespect the other guys)
 
While the offense needs to develop, I think for now the key is actually those front four getting to Peyton, forcing him out of his comfort zone, and dragging him down. That is one of the major keys to the Texans' success during the first two games, and in order to continue to succeed, especially against the big dogs, they must continue to pester the quarterback and win the turn-over battle. (That, and win through running - Green and Dayne.)
