Ray Lewis's hit on Chad Johnson

Take a look at NFL.com's interview with Ray Lewis.

Halfway through the interview, (it's worth it, trust me) they show Ray laying the wood on Chad. What was funny was that Chad texted Ray earlier in the week and told him that he was going over the middle and was going to hit him. Ray told him that was "bad idea".

Chad's reaction on the sideline after the play was classic!

Yeah, it was really hilarious. They had shown the Chad clip a couple of times on the highlights but when they showed it to Ray in the interview, he hadn't seen it before.

It's classic.

I believe Ray and Chad are pretty good friends off the field.

I guess not on the field.

wow thats really funny!

It was at the 3:30 mark for those that want to skip forward.

I like what Chad said about it to his coach. ' You know what player I hit? You know I was supposed to hit the safety but there was not safety. So I hit Ray. And I lost! BAD!'

LOL I like he had good humor about it, the coach was laughing too

That was hilarious. Chad at least has a since of humor about getting run over like he was not even there.

Alot of people knock Chad for being "arrogant" but I would have to say that CJ is one of my favorite NFL players as a character and as a player. He has been treated like the second coming of TO (who I absolutely despise) when in reality this is Chad's personality. Chad was suppose to take the safety out of the box when "uh-oh" Ray Lewis was in the safety's spot on the field. Pure comedy.

I watch every Bengals game that is nationally televised just to see what Chad is going to do next and I will continue to do so. This is the NFL and the NFL is entertainment.

My $0.02

That's the thing that i like about Chad. He's going to do his little celebrations & whatnot, that might rub some people the wrong way, but it's really just good natured ribbing type of stuff, it's not on the level of TO & the dallas star thing..

Crabtree FTW
Haha...good stuff. I'm a Chad Johnson fan personally...he cracks me up. His impression of Shawn Merriman's "lights out" dance has been his best celebration so far IMO.

:user: Good stuff!

I am also a fan of Ocho Cinco, while others liken him to 'TO Lite', I think he is just a natural showboater who has a big stage to use as a prop. Call him a Drama Queen or not.....he is real.....and real funny. He will talk the talk, but also walks the walk. The 'jacket' last game I thought was a hoot, especially seeing Kornheiser wearing later it the booth.
Gotta give Chad this.....he IS original. :shades:

If you have NFL Network, he was mic'ed up. After the hit, he tells one of the coaches about that, and he said something like "he hit me instead!."

My favorite was after the TD. TJ is so excited, and Chad is yelling "T! T! T! The jacket! Go get the jacket!"

I love Chad.

I do like Chad Johnson, but I think the best part of all of this is that Lewis was so wrapped up in the play itself that he didn't even know he was the one who put Chad down--especially after Chad text messaged him a few days earlier. I also like the fact that he didn't bother to go back and watch the play on tape, until it was shown to him.

Chad keeps taking hits like that, his career won't be long enough to make an impression on the HoF.

Yeah, that's the thing the struck me, too. Ray wasn't even concentrating on Chad when he blew him up. But that is probably a normal thing if you play middle linebacker in the NFL.

I can't help but think about what Jacoby Jones is going through in first year in the NFL. I imagine the biggest adjustment of all for him coming Lane college to the NFL, is having to go across the middle and take on these safeties, and sometimes, God forbid . . middle linebackers.

When do we play the Ravens again?:)

One more reason why I love waching Ocho-Cinco. Dude is uber talented but he's also honest about his abilities.

"And I lost! BAD!" = LOL
SO was the coaches reaction.
